Gameplay I’ve been playing this game for about three days now and the first 20 to 30 games were fine, but now for some reason every time I play a normal game mode, I get paired up with people who have significantly better cards that I couldn’t possibly deal with because I still have a premade deck since I haven’t been playing long enough to collect enough cards that I need to build a better deck. also every time I play an event or a different game mode that forces you into a game of chance I can continuously get screwed over for example if I somehow got a 3/3 flying creature then my opponents next turn will get a 5/5 or every time I would get a creature that I believed to be powerful than without sale every single time my opponent would miraculously get a Greenshire significantly more power. Every time I play this game for some reason I get screwed over so bad I believe the mechanics of this game or the luck factor/and or the randomized program needs to be updated. Every time I play this game, I only ever get to play 10 games and if I’m lucky I would win too and that’s not because I’m just stupid. I’ve been playing magic the gathering for over six years now and I have never been screwed over like this while I play with real cars. This app needs to fix something.
Good game, bad company The game itself is polished and plays well, but that’s easy to overlook with how incredibly predatory the micro-transactions are. Also, I do not want SpongeBob battling five versions of Spider-Man battling Homer Simpson or whatever the hell stupid IP they shoehorn into the game next. They’re ruining it one update at a time, I haven’t played in months because of this.
Control players only If you like fast interactive games of magic that have endless possibilities this is not the app for you. If you like to play alone and build control decks that have to have the perfect drops and plays but somehow always get what you need to continue making sure your opponent play anything this is what you need
Great game! If you like or liked MTG then you are going to like this game. Takes some time to get a competitive deck going, but not long. Fun game, play it daily.
Want to love it but it’s impossible What a complete disappointment. This game is genuinely fun, which makes it even more frustrating to see it ruined by what feels like a terrible algorithm that's more focused on squeezing money out of players than providing a fair experience. The gameplay increasingly feels designed to push you toward spending instead of rewarding skill or time invested. The developers are just as frustrating. They'll reach out acting like they want feedback, but when you actually take the time to provide detailed, specific examples of the problems, they suddenly go silent. Instead, they tell you to post everything on their forum, where it feels like complaints are just sent to disappear instead of being addressed. If you're going to ask for feedback, at least have the decency to engage with it instead of passing people off somewhere else. This game had so much potential, but poor management and questionable design decisions have completely overshadowed what could have been a great experience. Can anyone recommend a similar game that's actually run by developers who care about fair gameplay and listen to their community? I'd rather support a company that values its players than keep wasting my time here.
Poor Gameplay Design Was once a great game. A turn-based strategy card game where you utilize limited resources to attack an opponents life. Sounds great, until the game design introduce multiple infinite loops in the game that effectively give unlimited resources. Poor gameplay design.
Nice game Started playing due to a friend, instantly hooked. A little more complicated than Pokémon, still not bad. Also pretty nice that reward gives you actual up to date cards with no purchases necessary
Weekly HUGE updates gig+ What the actual heck? Weekly updates that are around a gigabyte + like….. that’s absolutely dumb. Half the time I get an error loading the game. The other half I get disconnected….. The game servers are pretty bad. Like it’s a cool phone game and is free. But such a let down bc it would be decent if the game worked properly and all you had to deal with is the dumb broken cards and decks that people look up on the internet. A card literally says “ you can’t lose the game and your opponent can’t win” what in the hearthstone f*]€ is going on here. It’s also kinda obvious that the deck and card draw is curved to make closer games sometimes. Idk could be fun but magic sold out a long to me ago. “Horrific fart noises”
Events are scams Game match up/draw screw you in every game format where 4-7 wins are needed. At some point, you will get no lands. Then when you do get the lands, opponent will have every counter for everything you play. My favorite is the draft, to face full single color decks!!! If it was a draft, highly doubt you got all one color for perfect symmetry. Just a terrible game to fair play.
A new fan As a lifelong marvel snap fan I was finally convinced by friends to try magic. I’m very new but it is very fun
