Magic Encyclopedia: Moon Light

Non capisco le recensioni negative, soprattutto riguardo alla difficoltà nel trovare gli oggetti nascosti. Io sono rimasta soddisfatta, finalmente un gioco in cui si fatica un po' di più a trovare gli oggetti (ma neanche tanto poi). Inoltre è presente qualche mini-gioco. La storia non è delle più fantasiose, ma è giusto una scusante per mettere assieme le location. Abbastanza breve, piacevole, consigliato.

The second hidden object game I ever played, so obviously I got this one partly for the nostalgia feels. It's still such a delight to play. With its gorgeously drawn scenes and simple, but unique play style that differs from most other hidden object games i.e. You find fragments of pictured items and use them once they're complete, while occasionally solving puzzles. Honestly, it's probably better than I remember...

I like hidden object games. I did not like this one so much because of issues with the hidden object search. The story was stupid, and while generally the stories in this genre are just boilerplate to support the hidden object searches, this was a whole other level of bad. Still, the story is not really the point of this type of game. The hidden object search is the goal, and that's where this one fell down. Each object is broken into fragments and the fragments are really hard to find. That 's actually fine - they did a really impressive job of hiding the pieces. I found that it was easier to find anomalies in the picture that identified the fragments rather than look for specific pieces. But generally at least one piece of each item wasn't actually visible and available to be found until some other item was completed and used, and there was no indication that the piece was unavailable. So I would hunt and hunt and then later discover that the reason I couldn't find a piece was because it wasn't there. I have done a lot of hidden object games, and I almost never use hints. In this game, I had to use hints in every single scene. Probably 5% of the fragments required hints. If a game is going to hide its items this well, they owe the players to indicate if it is possible to find them at all. It's an old game, obviously the creators have learned their lesson and won't do this again, but just be warned before playing this game.

Terrible, cursor didn't work. Basically could not even play. Be prepared to get a refund.
