About
Magecraft: Spellbuilding is a deckbuilder with a focus on crafting your own spell cards and creating unique decks to take with you into the turn-based combat of the Dungeons.
While you have control over the cards you start with, the randomized Dungeon layouts, enemy encounters, passive powers, and scrolls ensure that no two runs are the same.

Take on enemy attacks, destroying them to keep yourself safe from harm - or take the hit and attack enemies directly to do as much damage as possible.

Fight your way through three distinct, themed dungeons, each with its own sets of enemies to defeat, powers and scrolls to collect, and events with with different choices to make.

Combine over 50 Sigils - with effects that deal damage, inflict debuffs, grant buffs, summon allies, and more - to craft custom spell cards for your deck.

Choose between a variety of appearances, color palettes, and unique Background powers when creating a character - and unlock new character colors to change into, as well as new characters with powerful abilities.

The Abyss is a separate mode with randomized characters and starting decks, where unlike the main game, dying means starting a new run from the very beginning.

Dev pls let me throw money at you. This game good :)
It's relatively simple but well-made with quite a few options for deckbuilding. Free and fresh.
This game is very interesting and fun to play. A hidden gem! Plus, it's free.

Game should not be free. Very fun.
This game has so much depth and polish that i often forget it was free. The spell-crafting mechanics are very very fun and feel very good to use. The battles are very cool and can make for some very fun puzzles if you're into min-maxing, but sometimes they can become sluggish when fighting high-defense or healer enemies, but even then it still felt fun. I also absolutely love the sheer amount of customization choices you have, feels very good to have all of the stuff in a matching outfit. Also just an additional note: I ADORE THE MARIONNETE SERVANT, BY FAR THE BEST CHARACTER IN THIS ENTIRE GAME.
вроде пойдет, на любителя, хз на сколько она продумана, играл чутка, из минусов первое это нет перевода
Play It. Great On Steam Deck.
I have been playing for 50 hours now. This game is so good for it to just be free. I recommend others to try it out when they got time.
What an unexpectedly awesome game! Not just another deckbuilder. Sure, the map works like Slay the Spire, but there's permanent resource gathering happening (paper, ink, magical materials, gold, sigils..). These are mostly lost if you die, but those you manage to keep can be poured into a detailed spellcrafting system, and the results are cards you can use as starter decks for all future resource gathering runs. There's also a pure roguelike mode if you're not into meta progression (I'm usually not, but it's done well here). Lots of bangers on the soundtrack. Unexpectedly good writing... My only criticism is that you can't save the game easily mid-run. That being said, WHY IS THIS FREE? Play it.
Only played for a bit so far, but it's gooood. The spellcraft (you get to make your own cards and what they do) is really simple but somewhat in depth, the combat is pretty fun too, also simple but gives you room to think especially with its use of status effects. Also really good aesthetic, maybe just needs more polish to make it slightly more animated, but it feels lively. My only main gripe about combat is maybe give us a way to discard spells mid-combat? Because I'm trying to get cards into my hand but I have other things clogging it. Maybe give us the chance to ditch a card, but it still consumes a charge off it as well as maybe one mana without actually getting its effects off? So it still has a cost to doing it, and picking up too many spells can still mess up your grimoire and your hand, but now it won't completely softlock you into an inevitable defeat. But yeah the TL;DR for those just looking at reviews, this game's great! Good fun if you want a roguelike with really good customization and good turn-based combat, give it a shot, see if it's for you.
