This Developer cares.
Noticed an issue with a Spell in the game. So I made a post in the Discussions about it. Within 5 hours, the Developer responded to me AND put a patch out (1.16b) to specifically fix the issue. You really cannot beat that kind of commitment to your game and to quality. This is my first Steam review ever, simply for the fact that I feel it was needed.
I would give this neutral if I could. I'm not very familiar with "auto battlers", this has been more entertaining than I thought it would be, however the only real variation is in the hero mechanics. I do not like that the only way to progress is via achievements and that progress is solely about unlocking more heroes. There should be skill trees and baseline upgrades to make runs easier. It's very frustrating to play long runs only to die in one of the 'end game' levels and get absolutely nothing for progress - this is not how roguelike/lite games are supposed to work.
I like the hero add on from the first game but thats it first game at lest have a roguelike element to if with the upgrade system u always get som points u ccan spend to upgrade cool stuff and come back stronger when u die but here nothing u die and thats it no fun at all whats the point of even playing??
A stellar, highly addictive strategy game with excellent army-building depth, though it sorely misses a background grind or permanent upgrade system to reward you between runs.
RIP individuelles Gameplay
You can make 20 mages cast atomic bomb multiple times under a second, balanced and approved.
fun oldschool game! wish there was a random waves mode or something for extra replayability at the end, but just great all around
Incredibly addicting auto battler! Build armies and observe if you can defeat your oponents. In between fights buy/upgrade your troops and hero, learn new spells (the only active element in a fight), rinse and repeat the loop. However don't spend all your gold in one round as the game rewards you with a nice interest bonus if you decide to keep the money and manage to win the next fight. With hundreds of sprites on screen many of the battles are certainly epic. Audiovisually it's pretty decent as well. Nothing to add really. Fun, simple, addicting. Doesn't overstay its welcome. Great buy for a few euro's. Recommended! Rating: 8.0/10
Great little game. All of the achievements are doable. Difficulty is good with quite a few difficulty levels (that you unlock as you win them). The pixel art animations are top notch. The various heroes all feel really different and each brings a new kind of strategy. Great value for the price. I really enjoyed the time I spent on it. The only downside I see is the lack of overall strategy: there is no meta progression, no equipment for your heroes, etc. So each hero is different but doesn't offer a lot of replayability imho.
