The store page lists 4 features, let me debunk those before I say anything else: • Dynamic but simple music ~ sure, but it's not even a minute long and it's on a loop, just like most free unity music samples. • Procedural generated boards ~ you won't notice, they all play the same. • 8 worlds with 5 levels each ~ Does 40 total levels sound like a lot? Maybe until you realize they take roughly 5 to 15 seconds each to beat. Entire game from start to finish is under 10 minutes long. (and about half of that is loading time between levels) • Inspired by classic puzzle games ~ I'm not sure this qualifies as what I would call a puzzle game. It's a simple shape matching game more than it is a puzzle. --- This is in no state to be a released game. The version I was given for review (just days before launch) is barely an idea for a game that hasn't been finished. You have a flat board, and you're a shape. You move over and touch the other things that are shaped like you, and you win and move to the next board. This process takes seconds to complete and no puzzle solving. If you touch a shape that is a different shape, you become that shape and now your goal is to pick up all the shapes of that new shape to win instead. Which means if you accidentally touched a different shape you have delayed your win by a couple of seconds and then you win anyway. All the clutter and other things you see on the board like the lasers? They don't do anything, you can touch and move everything without any penalty or delay, some things you just move through as they might as well not be there, it's just visual clutter. Does that make it sound like the game is super simple? Yes, to the point I can hardly call this a game. A child of three or four years old could probably solve the entire game in a few minutes if it wasn't for the glitches. But if your child can identify the difference between a cube and a sphere, they have the qualifications to complete this game. Here's a video example of one entire "world" and yes this is all 5 levels of that world: https://youtu.be/jrp9Oh1Y_U0 Now keep in mind, there's only 8 of these so do that 7 more times and you'll be done the game in 8 minutes. And yes, they all look the same. The clutter is just random placed, that's the "procedural" part of the game description. it's also filled with bugs and glitches, I'm not even going to list them all. Sadly even if they were fixed, there's not enough game here to care. And the price? Is that a joke? I couldn't recommend this game for $1 let alone for the $8 it's listed at. --- Bottom line: It's barely a game, it barely functions and it's super short. --- While you are here, would you consider following my curator page? Want to read all of my reviews and not just the curated ones?

In short: do not waste money on this. It wouldn't even merit a free-to-play Early Access release at this point, never mind charging £6.69 as if it were already a viable product. When I received my review copy, a few days before release, it was glitchy and barely playable - it froze up right after the "press space to start" screen on several occasions. While the dev did patch this one specific problem, another person who played a review copy noted that the patch seemed to introduce new problems elsewhere. I had to tab out and force quit the game repeatedly because the basic quit-button functionality is just not there. As in, it wasn't included in the design at all - not just that the button itself didn't work! When it did finally get past the "1 player" screen, the 'gameplay' was utterly uninteresting: you move your shape to the matching shapes on the board. That's it. Most of the time there aren't even any difficulties to overcome, it's just a brief walk across the board. Based on the fact that I got past two 'worlds' with multiple levels in three minutes (and most of that was slow loading times between levels!), Mad Geometry has only about 10 minutes' worth of content - if it can even be called that. I usually try to find a positive to mention in reviews, but can't manage it for this. The product is glitchy, visuals are extremely basic, the music is simple and not noteworthy, the 'gameplay' barely deserves the name in scare quotes, and the audio balancing is off (the loud sound it makes with every step on the board is particularly grating). This is the worst game I've ever received via Curator Connect. Distributing it in this state was a baffling decision. 1/10 - avoid.
I mean this game is just a masterpiece!
