Karuna and Aurelie were friends. Then Aurelie went off and found the infernal armor of Ellicide and became the Evil Overlord Darkloft. Karuna is the only one who can stop her. But Karuna loves Aurelie, even now.
She won't be alone on her adventure. Chisa, her trusty baby-faced, axe-wielding squire; Merel, the ruins-loving (and human-loving) naga mage; and Lynette, the prickly holy warrior from the mainland will all join her on the quest to defeat Darkloft.
