Visual novel to enjoy at bedtime. As usual, a very strange story, but there is something good in it :)
Awesome idea to do the same with my girlfriend... lol, I hope she doesn't see this review...
It’s rare to find something in this space that’s both visually appealing and actually written well, but Lustful Roommates pulls it off. The dialogue has a nice rhythm, and the whole setup works better than you'd expect. Nothing too over-the-top, but enough spice to keep things interesting. I played it in a few sessions and honestly never got bored. The way it balances fun, flirty tension with low-stakes daily life stuff makes it super easy to enjoy. Definitely worth checking out!
Lustful Roommates, developed by TheBigO Games and published by EroBits, is a choice-driven visual novel built around interpersonal relationships, gradual character discovery, and a living situation that quickly becomes more complicated than it first appears. The story follows Suzy, who moves into a shared apartment expecting a fresh start, only to find herself entangled in a web of personalities, hidden agendas, and evolving connections. The premise is simple on the surface, but it aims to build engagement through how those relationships unfold over time rather than through large-scale plot twists. The gameplay is rooted firmly in visual novel tradition. Most of the experience is delivered through dialogue, with players guiding Suzy’s responses and decisions at key moments. These choices influence how relationships develop, unlocking different scenes and eventually leading to multiple possible outcomes. While the mechanics themselves are straightforward, they serve as the backbone of the experience, giving players a sense of involvement in shaping the story. Progression is less about solving challenges and more about navigating social dynamics, deciding how to approach each interaction, and seeing how those decisions ripple forward. A large portion of the game’s appeal comes from its focus on character interaction. The central relationship between Suzy and her roommate drives much of the narrative, gradually revealing new aspects of their personalities and motivations. Supporting characters add variety to the story, introducing additional scenarios and perspectives that expand the overall experience. While the writing is not particularly complex, it is structured in a way that encourages continued engagement, with each interaction offering small developments that build toward larger outcomes. That said, pacing can be uneven, with some sections feeling stretched out while others move quickly through important moments. Visually, the game follows the familiar format of many visual novels, relying on character illustrations and static environments to convey its scenes. The art style is consistent and focused primarily on character design, ensuring that expressions and interactions remain clear and readable. While it doesn’t aim for technical sophistication or dynamic presentation, it supports the narrative effectively, keeping attention on the dialogue and character relationships rather than visual spectacle. One of the more noticeable aspects of Lustful Roommates is how it balances its narrative elements with its core thematic focus. While it introduces ideas related to trust, boundaries, and personal growth, these elements are often secondary to its primary appeal. This can make the experience feel somewhat surface-level at times, as potentially interesting narrative threads are not always explored in depth. The game prioritizes immediate engagement and character interaction over building a more layered or complex story, which will resonate differently depending on player expectations. Replayability is present through branching paths and multiple endings, encouraging players to revisit the story and explore alternative choices. However, the underlying structure remains largely the same across playthroughs, and the lack of deeper gameplay systems means that replay value is driven almost entirely by narrative variation. For some players, this will be enough to justify multiple runs, while others may find that the experience doesn’t change significantly enough to warrant extended replay. There are also some limitations in how choices are implemented. While decisions do influence outcomes, not all of them feel equally impactful, and certain paths can feel more linear than they initially appear. This can reduce the sense of agency, particularly when outcomes converge or when choices seem to have limited long-term consequences. Combined with occasional pacing issues, this can make parts of the experience feel less dynamic than intended. In the end, Lustful Roommates is a focused visual novel that delivers a straightforward, character-driven experience built around player choice and relationship development. It doesn’t attempt to expand beyond the core conventions of its genre, instead relying on its premise and interactions to carry the experience. For players who enjoy narrative-driven games with an emphasis on dialogue and branching paths, it offers an accessible and engaging experience within its niche. Rating: 6/10
I went into Lustful Roommates expecting something casual, but I got hooked way harder than I thought. The writing is actually fun and way more engaging than just some surface-level stuff. The characters feel alive they’re not just "types," they have little quirks that make you want to see where the story goes.I really liked how natural the conversations felt. Yeah, it’s spicy, no doubt, but there’s a bit of heart in there too. If you like visual novels that don’t rush and let you enjoy the slow build this one’s solid.
This game is around about 35 min. with an additional 20 min. movie version The graphics and the animations are great The only problem that i had was that the autoplay didn't work while using the AI option [it worked just fine in their past games] i got this game while it was on sale for less than $5,
Lustful Roommates rocks for a visual novel = tons of personality! Familiar setup, charming writing, and legit roommate vibes - awkward, funny, keeps you hooked. Art’s solid, no wonky dips
The art direction is good but they look like old hags.
Futa content!!! I`m not realy in futa, not my not my topic. But to be honest, this is just another game by this author, like the others. One thing that's worth mentioning is that the quality of the visuals and graphics is getting better all the time. It's still a short movie, though. I'd love to see more games like Sex Machina
Please play only in good games My curator page
Lustful Roommates is the classic "hot roommates with a secret" fantasy, and it executes it well. The visuals are some of the best in this niche every scene has weight, lighting, and expression. Geni being a futa adds that extra spice, and Suzy’s reactions feel believable and turned on without being overacted. The pacing starts slow but ramps up beautifully. There’s more than enough content for multiple viewings, and the animations hold up even in rewatch.
