Lust from Beyond: Scarlet si dimostra un titolo imperdibile per gli amanti dell'horror psicologico e dell'immaginario ispirato a Lovecraft e Giger. Questo capitolo si inserisce nell'universo della serie non come una semplice espansione, ma come un capitolo a parte completamente autonomo rispetto al gioco principale ed introduce una nuova fazione misteriosa, non presente nel prologo ed in Lust for Darkness, che aggiunge profondità all'universo narrativo, gettando le basi per nuovi e inquietanti risvolti psicologici. La componente matura rimane il pilastro centrale dell'esperienza: il sesso è sempre presente e integrato profondamente nelle dinamiche di gioco. La carne e il piacere si fondono con il terrore visivo in modo coerente e mai banale. A fare da collante a queste forti atmosfere c'è una trama chiara, lineare e magnetica, capace di guidare il giocatore dall'inizio alla fine senza perdersi in eccessivi fronzoli narrativi. Lust from Beyond: Scarlet was a good lovecraftian, horror game and a good mini sequel to lust for darkness and a good prelude to lust from Beyond, okay then time for story. A young man goes to an abandoned theater/bar for a simple hookup; unfortunately this sexcapane is going to turn into a nightmare. Now then the likes, the story is pretty good with some nice twists and turns and it gives good indication on what happened since lust for darkness, while still telling its own little story that's in the same universe as the previous game. The gameplay was okay it's the same as the previous game. walk around, solve some puzzles, but they do some things different like adding a better stealth mechanic and giving you combat. The graphics are very good with interesting uses of colors and designs, particularly the colors red and the color choices for the other dimension. The levels are good each area is distinct and doesn't overstay its welcome, I particularly like the other dimension as its gives HR Giger meets Lovecraft kind of feel like the previous game had. The characters were okay although the main character can be a bit frustrating as he keeps making dumbass decisions when there are red flags flashing all over the place, granted I'm not a horny sex obsessed idiot, so maybe this is common who knows. The music was fine nothing really to write home about. The voice acting is pretty good each character delivered their lines well and didn't sound wooden; also I swear I recognize the voice actor of the main character but I just can't place it. The atmosphere was fine has some nice build up for some jumpscares, but other than that nothing too interesting. Now is this game scary a little bit at first, it does use jump scares but not too much. Now then the dislikes, the combat was a little irritating if you're not careful and don't plan you'll die pretty quickly and you can't just pause the game and heal yourself as if you open your inventory the game will still continue, hopefully they fix that in the full sequel lust from Beyond. Okay then now that is done, Lust from Beyond: Scarlet was a good lovecraftian, horror game and a good mini sequel to lust for darkness and a good prelude to lust from Beyond, with a pretty good the story, okay gameplay and good levels are good. So do I recommend this game yes I do if you enjoyed the previous game lust for darkness then you may enjoy this game and again this is a prelude to the real sequel lust from Beyond, it’s also free so that's also very good.

Интересный проект. Сочетание Лавкрафтианского ужаса, Гигеривщены и эротизма. Нигде не переборщили. Пожалуй больше нечего добавить как для демки, больше по полноценной игре напишу. Редкий случай, когда подобная игра сделана качественно, без кринжатины и тупого скатывания в банальную порнуху.
