A bit buggy and inflexible in places, but still doable with persistance. Just remember to save game in case you get stuck. Overall, not a bad effort.
RPG Maker strikes again! Ludu is one of hundreds of low effort retro-pixel RPG Maker asset/construction kit flips spamming the Steam catalog, made with the RPG Maker video game construction kit... in their own words, "Our easy to use tools are simple enough for a child." Unlike most RPG Maker asset flips, an attempt was made to make a 2D side view adventure game, thematically a ripoff of Microsoft's Limbo from 2010. As with all RPG Maker games, the poor quality engine displays badly in fullscreen and doesn't have full HD support or any true graphics tweaking options, making this unacceptable for any dedicated modern PC gamer. The point can be made that the intention of RPG Maker is to make demos and small games to pass around friends, and shouldn't be used for "professional" game development. While it might be better if this had never been released on Steam under the guise of a professionally developed game, the developer has done the right thing by making their RPG Maker construction kit effort free. Notably the developer here couldn't work out how to use RPG Maker to make an RPG... and that's the only thing RPG Maker can do properly... except it's not even very good for making RPGs. Instead, we have this adventure style game with a simple inventory system, very dumbed down, that feels more like a student project than a sincere attempt at making a game. It's clearly a ripoff of Limbo. This was apparently made using a TWENTY year old version of RPG Maker (wow, RPG Maker has been making gaming worse for decades!). Released on Steam in 2016... what were they thinking? Guaranteed to fail. At least the violin music is nice? If you want a good 2D adventure/puzzle game, try Limbo, the game they're ripping off here. Limbo is vastly better than this mess. While this is currently being given away for free, and that's noble, it's seriously not worth anyones time.

Short game, doesn't really tell you a lot. It is a puzzle game written without language-based instructions. Honestly, I find it intriguing.

shows potential, but has really bad controls

This is one of the worst games I ever played.
