Warning: AI Slop This game is partially or completely made with talentless, soulless AI generated content. The developer deliberately breached Valve's requirement to disclose the use of AI slop in an attempt to mislead and defraud gamers.
Lucky me has the dubious honour of being the first to warn gamers about yet another fake game cash grab from Russia. Lovely Anime Puzzle: Summer is a fake game, a construction kit game. The Russian "developer" (Cute Hannah/Green Goose/Quantum Quiver/etc etc... he uses a lot of fake accounts to hide his identity) used the mediocre ClickTeam Fusion video game construction kit, filling out input forms/using premade level design tools. Basically an "asset flip", but with AI slop generated images instead of assets stolen from someone else... this is WORSE than asset flipping. This isn't a sincerely made game, it was slapped together quickly as a minimum viable product... a hopeless cash grab made for one reason: To generate Steam Keys in bulk for crap random game bundles, just to get a few roubles for polluting Steam with trash. Obviously this garbage has no value for gamers as a real game, and the Russian developer behind this who goes by a number of different shell accounts to hide his identity is just polluting Steam with an absolute deluge of these empty, fake games. Here's some of the accounts this guy is using to spam Steam with crap:

Cute Hannah's Games
Blender Games
Quantum Quiver Games
Green Goose Corporation
My Label Game Studio
And this game itself is not "unique" at all... the developer has copy + pasted dozens of copies of this game with AI slop reskins onto Steam:

Lovely Anime Puzzle: Christmas
Lovely Anime Puzzle: Easter
Lovely Anime Puzzle: Halloween
Lovely Anime Puzzle: Lunar New Year
Lovely Anime Puzzle: Patrick
Lovely Anime Puzzle: Summer
Lovely Anime Puzzle: Valentine
Neon Fantasy: Animals
Neon Fantasy: Birds
Neon Fantasy: Boys
Neon Fantasy: Butterflies
Neon Fantasy: Cats
Neon Fantasy: Dogs
Neon Fantasy: Fairies
Neon Fantasy: Furries
Neon Fantasy: Girls
Neon Fantasy: Horses
Neon Fantasy: Monkeys
Neon Fantasy: Mushrooms
Neon Fantasy: Owls
Neon Fantasy: Predators
Neon Fantasy: Rodents
Poly Puzzle: Animals
Poly Puzzle: Birds
Poly Puzzle: Butterflies
Poly Puzzle: Cats
Poly Puzzle: Dinosaurs
Poly Puzzle: Dogs
Poly Puzzle: Furries
Poly Puzzle: Furries 2
Poly Puzzle: Predators
Poly Puzzle: Primates
Puzzle Art: Artiodactyls
Puzzle Art: Birds
Puzzle Art: Cats
Puzzle Art: Dogs
Puzzle Art: Horses
Puzzle Art: Predators
Puzzle Art: Primates
Puzzle Art: Reptiles
Puzzle Art: Rodents
Puzzle Art: Snakes
These are all AI slop reskins of exactly the same game!!! If you try to actually "play" this garbage, well, it's a Flash tier, very basic, childish jigsaw puzzle game that barely works, and the images are all AI slop. There's no real reason anyone would want to play this. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. For gameplay purposes, because the user interface for this game is mostly just 2D static AI Slop images... it might as well be a web page. It's functionally no different from a browser game. And we all know, Steam isn't here to compete with Chrome and Firefox. If the game can be done in a web browser, it's just not rich or compelling enough to appeal to serious gamers on PC. There's no option to change the resolution and no useful graphics tweaks. There's no way to ensure this is running at the native resolution of your display. There's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. As mentioned, this features really godawful, "wrong" looking AI slop instead of genuinely and sincerely created game assets. It's hard to say if this was because the developer didn't have the skill to do the job of creating real game assets or couldn't afford to hire someone who does, but it also doesn't matter. What matters is that this looks bad because of that decision. AI slop sticks out like a sore thumb... and it comes across as insulting. There's also the old adage that those who lack the budget and talent to make their own game assets usually lack the budget and talent to do the rest of the job of game development properly, too, and that's glaringly obvious here. The controls can't be customised because the game has such a dumbed down, simplified interface that it's just point and click stuff like a browser/Flash game. The fact that the interface is this dumbed down might be seen as a problem in itself, however... this is a fairly shallow experience if you're the kind of gamer that likes to play games with deep, rich control schemes and interaction. You'll get none of that here. Those technical issues put this game beneath what is expected from a contemporary, professionally developed PC game. The poor quality of this game is reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the game all-time peak player count was only ONE player. That's right, only one person ever played this at a time. When I played this for the purposes of reviewing it, I equalled the peak player count for the game. OUCH. The only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 130 million gamers on Steam and well over 140,000 games for gamers to choose from, the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality game is to be expected. One of the driving elements of this shovelware game is "achievement spam", that is to say the game features a ridiculously large number of trivial/automatically granted achievements, 100 of them, in fact. It's a damning indictment for this shovelware that people only bought it for easy achievements, and not because it has any serious merit as a real game. So, should you buy this game? Is this one of the best of the 140,000+ games on Steam? Lovely Anime Puzzle: Summer is relatively cheap at $3 USD, but it's not worth it. There's enough defects and quality problems with this game that it's really impossible to recommend to gamers. This is also competing with over 14,000 free games available on Steam, many of them far better than this paid product.
Profile Features Limited! Valve have marked this game as "Profile Features Limited" at the time of this review. This is usually caused by poor sales figures and low community acceptance for the game (to date). Until this status changes, this game will not give you +1 to your Game Collector badge count, appear in profile achievements or any other Steam meta-accomplishments, nor can it be displayed in some profile showcases. If these factors are important to you, it may be worth holding off before buying this game.
Lovely Anime Puzzle: Summer is a casual puzzle game developed and published by Blender Games that delivers a straightforward and relaxing experience centered on assembling anime-themed artwork inspired by the summer season. Rather than focusing on complex mechanics, challenging progression systems, or elaborate storytelling, the game is designed to provide a calm and accessible environment where players can enjoy traditional puzzle-solving while unlocking a collection of colorful illustrations. Its emphasis on simplicity makes it particularly appealing to those looking for a low-pressure gaming experience that can be enjoyed at a leisurely pace. The core gameplay follows a familiar jigsaw puzzle formula. Players are presented with fragmented images that must be reconstructed piece by piece until the complete artwork is revealed. The mechanics are intentionally easy to understand, allowing players to begin solving puzzles almost immediately. This accessibility ensures that both experienced puzzle fans and newcomers can comfortably enjoy the game without spending time learning complicated rules or systems. What helps distinguish the game from more traditional jigsaw experiences is its visual theme. The artwork revolves around anime-inspired characters presented in bright summer settings. Beaches, sunshine, seasonal fashion, and vacation-inspired scenery contribute to a cheerful atmosphere that remains consistent throughout the experience. The illustrations serve as both rewards for puzzle completion and the primary attraction of the game, encouraging players to continue progressing in order to unlock additional images. The presentation embraces a clean and uncluttered design philosophy. Menus are straightforward, controls are intuitive, and the interface remains easy to navigate. This simplicity allows players to focus entirely on the puzzle-solving process without unnecessary distractions. The game understands its target audience and avoids complicating the experience with features that might interrupt the relaxing flow of gameplay. One of the strongest aspects of Lovely Anime Puzzle: Summer is its ability to create a calm and comfortable environment. Many modern games rely on competition, time pressure, or constant objectives to maintain engagement. In contrast, this title encourages players to slow down and enjoy the process of gradually completing each image. The absence of intense challenges makes it suitable for short sessions as well as longer periods of uninterrupted play. The puzzle mechanics themselves are functional and effective. Piece placement is responsive, and the overall structure remains faithful to the traditional appeal of jigsaw puzzles. Players spend most of their time examining image details, identifying matching sections, and gradually assembling complete scenes. While the gameplay does not introduce major innovations, it successfully captures the satisfaction associated with solving visual puzzles. The summer theme contributes significantly to the game's overall charm. Bright colors and seasonal imagery create a pleasant atmosphere that complements the relaxing nature of the gameplay. The artwork consistently reinforces the vacation-inspired aesthetic, helping establish a cohesive identity. Players who enjoy anime-style illustrations will likely find the collection appealing, as the visuals serve as the central motivation for progression. Audio design remains understated, supporting the experience without becoming intrusive. Relaxing background music helps maintain a peaceful mood while players work through puzzles. The soundtrack does not attempt to dominate attention, instead functioning as a subtle accompaniment that enhances the overall atmosphere. This restrained approach fits the game's casual nature and helps preserve its relaxing qualities. Replay value primarily depends on appreciation for the artwork and enjoyment of the puzzle-solving process. Players who find satisfaction in completing jigsaw-style challenges may revisit puzzles to improve completion times or simply enjoy the images again. However, the game's appeal is closely tied to its core mechanic, meaning that those seeking extensive gameplay variety may find the experience somewhat limited once all puzzles have been completed. The simplicity that makes the game accessible can also be viewed as its biggest limitation. There are few surprises, and players looking for narrative content, advanced mechanics, or substantial progression systems may find the experience too straightforward. The game remains focused on delivering exactly what it promises: a collection of anime-themed puzzles within a relaxing environment. Whether this is sufficient largely depends on the player's expectations. For fans of casual puzzle games, however, this focused approach is often a strength rather than a weakness. The game avoids unnecessary complexity and instead concentrates on providing an enjoyable and stress-free activity. Its accessible design makes it easy to pick up and play, while the artwork provides a clear incentive to continue solving puzzles. Ultimately, Lovely Anime Puzzle: Summer succeeds as a lighthearted and relaxing puzzle experience. Through its colorful summer-inspired artwork, simple mechanics, and calming atmosphere, it offers an enjoyable diversion for players who appreciate casual jigsaw games and anime aesthetics. While it may not introduce groundbreaking ideas to the genre, it delivers a polished and accessible experience that fulfills its purpose effectively. Rating: 5/10
