Great game and i cant wait for more. ty
игра огонь....
Jó játék, Riftel is müködik.
my friend loves it!
not good
Die Idee eines VR Survival-Simulators als Gestrandeter ist gut, allerdings mangelt es an der Umsetzung. Zu stressiges Beschaffen von Material und viel zu tun gibt es leider nicht. Zudem kein Updates.. Meine Kuratorseite: https://store.steampowered.com/curator/30155555 Meine Steamgruppe: https://steamcommunity.com/groups/voodoode https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8xjgAuUEm7Q
Lost in the Ocean VR, developed and published by Tunnel Vision Studio, is a survival experience built around a simple but compelling premise: you are stranded alone on an island and must rely on your own actions to stay alive and eventually escape. Designed specifically for virtual reality, the game aims to immerse players directly into this scenario, emphasizing physical interaction and environmental awareness rather than complex systems or narrative depth. From the beginning, it establishes a sense of isolation, placing you in a quiet, open environment where survival depends entirely on your ability to adapt. The gameplay revolves around managing basic needs such as hunger and thirst while exploring the island for resources. Players gather materials like wood and stone, craft tools, and perform essential tasks such as starting fires and finding food. These activities are presented through VR interactions, giving them a more tactile feel compared to traditional survival games. Simple actions like picking up objects or scanning the environment take on added significance when experienced from a first-person, physical perspective. The inclusion of a long-term goal—constructing a raft to escape—provides a clear sense of direction and purpose, helping to anchor the experience beyond simple resource management. What the game does particularly well is create a sense of presence. The act of standing on a beach, looking out at the ocean, and physically interacting with your surroundings can feel engaging, especially for players new to VR. The environment, while not highly detailed, is effective enough to convey the feeling of being stranded in a remote location. This immersion is the game’s strongest asset, as it allows even basic mechanics to feel more impactful than they might in a non-VR setting. However, this initial sense of immersion begins to fade as the limitations of the game become more apparent. The survival systems are relatively shallow, offering only a limited range of activities and interactions. Resource gathering quickly becomes repetitive, and crafting lacks the complexity or variety needed to keep players engaged over time. Once the basic loop is understood, there is little evolution in the gameplay, which makes the experience feel more like a routine than a dynamic survival challenge. The controls and interaction design also reflect the game’s early place in VR development. While the intention is to create intuitive, physical interactions, the execution can feel inconsistent. Actions such as picking up items or using tools are not always as responsive or precise as they should be, leading to moments of frustration that break immersion. These issues are particularly noticeable in a VR setting, where players expect a higher degree of physical realism and control. Visually, the game presents a simple tropical environment that serves its purpose without standing out. The island is functional as a setting, with recognizable elements like beaches, vegetation, and open water, but it lacks the detail and variety that would make it feel truly alive. The world feels static, with limited environmental interaction or dynamic elements to keep exploration interesting. While this simplicity may help with performance, it also contributes to the overall sense of the game being underdeveloped. In terms of pacing and longevity, Lost in the Ocean VR offers a relatively short and contained experience. The main objective can be completed without a significant time investment, and there is little incentive to continue playing once it is achieved. The lack of additional modes, challenges, or deeper systems limits replayability, making the game feel more like a brief demonstration of its concept rather than a fully fleshed-out survival experience. Ultimately, Lost in the Ocean VR succeeds in showcasing the potential of virtual reality as a medium for immersive survival gameplay, but it falls short of delivering a fully realized experience. Its strengths lie in its atmosphere and sense of presence, but these are not enough to compensate for its limited mechanics, repetitive gameplay, and technical shortcomings. In the end, it stands as an interesting early example of VR survival design—one that offers moments of genuine immersion but lacks the depth and polish needed to sustain long-term engagement. It may appeal to those curious about VR experimentation or looking for a simple survival concept, but it is unlikely to satisfy players seeking a more robust and evolving experience. Rating: 5/10
Motionsickness garantiert.
Worth the price. Has its issues, but its still fun. I recommend buying the game if you liked the movie "Castaway".
