WOW! This game was painful to play. It's not an exaggeration, I didn't get above 5 fps throughout the whole game. Even the menus toggle pausing the game play when switching between journey entries, but also, who writes journal entries about the history of huskies? It's basically the laggiest running simulator, that gives false paths to choose from, the second path is always a dead end. There are inconsistencies of when you're going to freeze in the water or not, some of it, I can spam jump through like the Jesus Reincarnation of dogs. Trying to navigate the mazes and move boxes was the second worse part of the game because of how awful the collisions are when trying to get through the area. My game crashed 4 times trying to push these dumb boxes around. The design choice for scroll boxes in the credits is weird, it's not hard for someone to Google, "How to create a vertical scrolling credits screen" to create actual credits in any video editing software. Fire every QA tester on the project, they failed the team by not reporting half of these bugs, OR the developers were lazy and just rushing to put this out there. You guys need a complete overhaul of this game, and start by optimizing it, for the love of God. EDIT: 10/08/2024 The patch actually did optimize it, and it actually does operate a lot better. I completed the game yet again, despite hating this. The mazes are still painfully cramped and have tons of awkward camera angles, but at least pulling the boxes doesn't cause any crashing. The steam achievements do not work, there were a couple of areas I can still sprint through the water to get to the other side. The fading of the menu could use some polish, and I noticed a lot of the sounds need some work. They are being created (like the dog panting) where they do not get destroyed on death, they start stacking and they get loud fast. Or if sprinting through the beginning the characters talking will star overlapping. Overall, good patch.
