About
Deirdre enters a dark Irish Forest to seek her husband who was sworn to become its King. Why would he have married her then? She needs to talk to him and demand an explanation. But it’s not so easy for a human to go through the magical Forest, as those who inhabit it live by different rules. What will she learn about the other world? What will she find out about herself?
5 unique endings

Soaked in Irish mythology
Loop is based on Irish mythology off the beaten path. There are stories and characters from the olden beliefs, half-forgotten.
Irish literature references
One of the characters and some dialogues are inspired by heartbreakingly beautiful Seamus Heaney’s bog poetry. Loop also includes quotes from the cryptic ‘Finnegans Wake’ by James Joyce.
Dark fantasy forest setting
The game setting takes after the classical Bilibin’s fairytale illustrations that left a strong legacy for the art that accompanies those stories today.
You get to talk to the Tree
Among all the quirky characters you meet, you will definitely have your favourites. But it's not that frequent you get to talk to a tree. And not just any tree, but The Tree. Will it think the way humans do? Will it participate in mortals' fates?

Loop is based on ancient Irish mythology with the folk of the sidhe, the main roads of Ireland and how they came to be, and shapeshifters. There are modern myths from the works of Seamus Heaney and James Joyce, too. You don't have to know anything about any of that to enjoy the game. Myths have many shapes and are retold again and again through the lands and generations. This is one of those retellings, with something new and something old weaved into the tapestry of fates.
Loop has a classic visual novel gameplay for effortless immersion in the story. This is a short game for your perfect evening on your own.

Finally played this BEAUTY! omigosh I cried, it's so heartbreaking. I wish I could live in this forest for forever tho, it's too short! But it's perfect this way, took me about 40 minutes, so finished it in one go. I've played some visual novels before and it was tedious at times with "how are you" and "what should we have for lunch". there is nothing like that in Loop at all. The text is dense, poetic, funny (I laughed so much talking to the salmon ahaha). I loved the characters - I think Branna is my favorite. I wish there was more story with her, to be honest. And I wanted to go to the underworld, too! DLC, anyone? This game definitely needs (and deserves) more love. I'll definitely play it again when I'm feeling blue and need all the feels. Like it says in the game there are some stories we want to live again (hope I remember this correctly). I'm off to draw some fanart of Branna now hehe Loved: story; music; sound effects (subtle but so on point!); art Did not like: I just want more of everything in it. I hoped for more scenes like with the well and stones. UPD: I read older reviews for Loop now and decided to update mine cause they don't seem too fair - the game now has a skip button so you can get to other endings in no time. Yes, the interface is simple, but it's a short game, so I did not feel anything else needed tbh. Story is truly beautiful. If you are hesitant, play it! It's worth it! To devs: thank you for making this beautiful game! One thing I've noticed is that I opened the first ending and it did not become the achievement on the Steam page? Idk if it should? It's the one with the queen. Hope you can fix this! My other ending opened the achievement just fine (I ran away to dance with Sid haha).
