Reviews
So this game is a mixed bag because i can see what the dev is going for and i did enjoy it for the 60ish minutes i played it for but so much of it is janky and flawed. Firstly the audio slider only affects the rain noise and door hitting sound effect, but not your own guns sounds, which means you are going deaf everytime you fire a weapon. Luckily i could just turn down my headset but still its not ideal. Secondly the enemies seem to come at you from different directions until you realise that they have preset spawns for each round. This means when you buy a defence like tripwires or spiked fences most of them wont even help as the way the enemies go is scripted, and most of them phase through them without taking damage. Finally the maps and overall explanation of the game. Unless i missed something there really is no tutorial apart from telling you how to shoot and move and reload. When you are sitting on a vantage point you get a X2 at the bottom of your screen which doubles your damage, but sometimes it doesnt even activate, and without the damage buff you get swept as most of the enemies are absolute bullet sponges. The only map i finished with a gold rank was the first map as it was the most fleshed out with towers to the left and right to look down upon approaching enemies, but for some reason the other maps dont follow this trend and are generally harder. On the second map if you buy any defences you cant actually see the enemies approaching until they are damaging the front door. Overall this game was alright and with a bit of polish it could be decent. Im leaving a positive review cause i wanna see this dev succeed.
