It's amazing how a concept that seems so simple at first, when executed with sufficient creativity, can create something so beautiful and enthralling. Wonderfully done. Just a pity that it ended too quickly.
"Little Postman" is a simple and unambitious puzzle game from Itchio that doesn't even seem like it was designed with the PC in mind as a gaming platform... I mean... I don't think the developer even looked at what contemporary PC games look like before deciding to publish this. Do they know about Cyberpunk 2077? What do you do in the game? Well, it's not great. You negotiate little puzzle levels by rotating platforms around. Basically get from A to B by moving along a path, and choosing to rotate sections of path around until you get to your destination. Amazing, what a time to be alive. This was released on Steam in 2023 where it competed with gamers time against Jedi Survivor, Alan Wake 2 and Baldur's Gate 3. Do game developers seriously not look at the competition before they stamp out this low effort shovelware? This is another case of Itch failing the one single job it has... to protect and preserve the gaming industry from badly made amateur games, by creating a containment zone to isolate amateur drivel, reinforced with endless participation trophies and high-5's every time an amateur dev manages to get their build to compile. Regrettably, in this instance, amateur drivel leaked out onto Steam and now we have to put up with it. With no way to change the resolution or tweak graphics settings, you probably won't be able to run the game at your screen's native resolution. This design decision means the game will look bad on just about every modern PC. This feels more like a tech demo or a project smacked together hurriedly to try make a kind of minimum viable product just good enough to pass the developers unambitious idea and shove it into Steam Direct to see if you can actually pay $100 and publish junk through Steam Direct. Yeah, you can. Is this good for gamers? Nope. In terms of visuals, this features fairly low quality low poly 3D graphics which will deter a lot of gamers, understandably. Gaming is a visual medium, and while some developers struggle with creating high quality visuals, failing to do so is a disservice to gamers. It's very difficult to recommend bad looking games. This wasn't designed for typical widescreen monitors, it's locked to a deprecated 4:3 aspect ratio. It won't look right on modern PCs as a result of this bizarre decision to publish a PC game that doesn't conform to the standard display form factors. Let's talk about pricing and the actual value this has for gamers. This is "free" enough (not every "free" game in the "free" section is truly free, there's usually some hidden price tag), at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good, and the cost of a game is more than just financial, your time is valuable too. Despite having no up-front cost, this failed to appeal to the 130 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB shows this peaked at only 6 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Nope, even if you don't have to pay any money up front, this isn't something I can suggest PC gamers spend their time on... there's thousands of better games on Steam.

I haven't played much, but I intend to play it a lot more. Very interesting little puzzle game. I play it with the toddlers in my house. I ask them to help me figure it out and they really feel like they are helping. Very cute, interesting little game.
The Little Postman is a cute and short game. I would definitely play this game again if it was longer and had a solid story-line.
A lovely little game that took about 30 minutes.
Suprisingly athmospheric little puzzle game. It's short with only 9 levels that progress in difficulty, but all in all take about 20-30 minutes. Worth it though if you are looking for a little distraction.
Not bad for a short free puzzler. The aspect ratio and hieroglyphics were odd choices. One or two of the maps were pretty unclear. Not sure if the control button highlighting the walk-able areas is a nice feature or just makes up for maps which weren't well enough thought out to be clear. Rotation speed could be a touch faster.
Really a good atmosphere and the puzzles are well done, but there are only 9 stages. Would be a lot better with more levels and with a growing difficulty
I'ts a super short and fun puzzle game about hitting switches to rotate parts of the map so you can open up new paths and deliver your letter. Chill vibes, not too challenging, do recommend.
