Life with Mary

This one surprised me in a good way, didn't expect much with the price being so low. Okey so the graphics aren't as top notch as the little more pricier options out there, less animation, no sound, more repeat use of still images, not filled choices in every dialouge (but the ones that are give a feeling of impact to the story). So what's good? Well what's the most important for a good AVN (my opinion), the story and the progression. It may start slow and some people may dislike that, but I prefer that sex/romance scenes get "some" believability to them and that there is enough content to do that. If you don't like story or text and just are here for the scenes, then it maybe it's not for you - but I do reccommend it for the scenes also ;) For the missing sound/music problem, just put on a spotify playlist in the background (can reccomend the public playlist; Romantic background music).

Nobody gets the money, nobody gets the girl, and everybody dies. But it is a great story, great graphics, and nice sex scenes if you are smart enough to figure them out. Worth the money.

Great adult novel. Consequences with choices, relatable characters, good story, decent scenes. I really enjoyed my time in this world. Thanks to the developers. Keep up the good work!

mONEY WELL SPENT

Good adult visual novel. Too long on the novel part for some players most likely. Choices don't matter too much. At first they are more like "guess the right response or game over". Only later do they start to actually affect things like who you develop relations with. The plot and characters are okay, though the focus is pretty exclusively on the titular character so it's her way or the highway. Which is fine if you like her but can feel pretty lacking if you don't. Also it seems like the current plot is a workaround for the "real" plot. Biggest hole is the main character's relationship with Mary. She calls him Uncle, but he is supposedly just the best friend of her Dad. And yet, even though he's had no contact with his so-called best friend for years the main character just welcomes her with open arms and no questions asked. Part of that ties in to the relationship they develop later on, but it's a weak rationale at first. I would guess the "true" plot called for closer family ties than "best friend's" daughter, but got changed for the usual reasons most AVN's back out of the family theme. Writing could use some more editing. There are obvious grammar mistakes and weird symbols instead of actual letters. But considering how long ago this game first came out, if the developer hasn't bothered to patch an edit by now they probably never will. I played this game for free as a download so when I saw it on Steam I decided to pay to help support the work. But at the price I got it, I would say it's still a good deal if you are new to the game.

If you're looking for vanilla romance with a good story then this VN is for you. No scoring multiple girls and it ain't a sex focused VN. Its purely a cute love story(against the odds kind, deals with certain uncommon themes) with some banging. Looking forward to dev's future games.
