Life is Strange: Before the Storm

Before the Storm DLC's sceneries are so pretty. Story wise, it emphasizes the loneliness of Chloe and how she copes up with everything that happened to her which made me love her even more. Her dynamic with Rachel is good, they were both lonely and have flaws but the way they depended on each other is kinda the whole story here tbh (and more Rachel stuff). Farewell DLC is the GOAT. Nothing to say but pure cinema. Max and Chloe are just so precious to me. It actually made me think about the childhood friends that I don't talk anymore T-T If I'm gonna replay the series, I'll probably play this one first. Recommended :)

Before the Storm is a beautiful prequel to the original Life is Strange game, with different mechanics but an equally as engaging world. I love that they kept faithful to the art style from the original game, it really makes it feel like a signature Life is Strange game. I loved the 3 episodes, putting you into the mind of Chloe instead of Max, with fun dialogue and great emotional moments from a perspective of someone that is hurting. The highlight for me in this game was the soundtrack by Daughter, it fit so well both epically and emotionally into every moment. Also to note; the farewell DLC which I felt was a hella good conclusion to Max and Chloe's story, despite being a prequel prequel. It left me emotionally torn, adding more context and depth to their relationship, making your choices in the original game feel just a little bit more painful and emotional. This game hits almost all the marks of what I feel makes Life is Strange special. A tale of friendship, love, and living in the moment. These games remind you to treasure every moment you have and to treasure every connection you've made.
