Hate to leave a negative review. It’s a bit of a nothing game. Gameplay is fine, humor is fine, but it never really amounts to much. Play The WereCleaner for everything this game does but better. It’s also free, and has much more content.
Você sopra folhas e é odiado pelo povo... um dia normal.... Até que tudo vira de ponta cabeça e você está em uma guerra com anúncios! 10/10
好玩的,比较抽象,就是会有点晕3D

Leaf Blower Man: This Game Blows! is exactly the kind of ridiculous game that I can appreciate because it takes something completely ordinary and turns it into an arcade action game. I am basically a leaf blower person who goes out at 6am on a Sunday and blows leaves around while deliberately annoying the neighbours. That is the basic joke, but the game keeps pushing the idea further with a strange story, different environments and increasingly ridiculous situations. I like how quickly it gets to the point because I am not spending ages learning complicated systems before I can start blowing leaves everywhere. The main campaign is short, but there is more to it than simply clearing leaves from a driveway. I earn points and can replay the campaign to try to get a higher score and finish it faster. That gives me a reason to learn the levels instead of treating them as something I only complete once. The game also has a Horde Mode where the leaves become actual enemies and I have to survive against increasing numbers of them. That mode adds experience, power ups and weapons, so it feels quite different from the more straightforward campaign. I think the humour is one of the strongest parts of the game. The whole thing is built around the idea that using a leaf blower on a Sunday morning is basically an act of war, and it keeps escalating that joke until I am fighting militant leaves and trying to reach the Leaf King. It is silly, but it has enough commitment behind the joke that I find it entertaining rather than just annoying. The colourful cartoon presentation also fits the tone well, and the top down view makes it easy for me to see what is happening while I am running around causing problems. The biggest weakness for me is that the basic leaf blowing can only carry the game so far. Moving leaves around is funny and surprisingly satisfying for a while, but it is not a mechanic with a huge amount of depth. The campaign being short means I can get through the main idea fairly quickly, and once the novelty wears off there is not a massive amount of traditional gameplay underneath it. Horde Mode helps a lot because the experience and power up system gives me more to work with, but even there the core action is still based around blowing things away and surviving increasingly large groups. I also think the game works better when I am in the mood for something silly and uncomplicated. It does not have the kind of deep progression or complicated mechanics that would make me want to spend dozens of hours playing it. There are 18 achievements and the campaign can be replayed for better scores and faster times, which gives me some extra goals, but the main appeal is really the humour and the ridiculous concept. I do appreciate that the optional purchases are cosmetic or otherwise do not give gameplay advantages, so I can enjoy the actual game without feeling like I need to buy something to make it better. Overall, Leaf Blower Man: This Game Blows! is a fun little arcade game that knows exactly what it wants to be. I like the stupid premise, short campaign, score chasing and especially the Horde Mode because it turns the joke into a proper arcade challenge. The limited depth and short main experience stop me from rating it alongside my favourite small games, but I think there is enough variety and personality here to make it worthwhile. It is not a game I would play for hours at a time, but when I want something silly that I can pick up and immediately understand, I think it does a good job. Rating: 7.8/10
It Kind Of Blows
Leaf Blower Man is a short, satirical 3D story game about exactly what it sounds like, a man, a leaf blower and a war against leaves, bombs, and increasingly angry protestors. It doesn’t overstay its welcome and for a free title, it does enough to be worth a look for the right person. ---Difficulty--- ☐ Tell My Wife I L... ☐ Engage the gamer position ☑ A Chill Challenge ☐ Are we still on the tutorial? ☐ Easier than regretting the number of hours I've spent on Dota. The game isn’t very difficult. You’ve got three lives, but you can simply respawn, so there’s no real punishment for mistakes. There is an achievement tied to not getting hit at all, but I didn’t really struggle with it. ---Enjoyment--- ☐ Absolute euphoria ☐ Worth your time ☑ It's aight ☐ Beats daytime TV ☐ Ayoo, there's paint drying over there For a free game, it’s decent. My favourite part was easily the reverse bullet hell section, which was the most fun part of the experience. That said, it isn’t overly polished, and if that aspect of the game lasted any longer than its 5–6 minute runtime, I’d probably have come away underwhelmed. The satirical in game ads do fit the humour, but they got mildly annoying fairly quickly for me. I get the joke, it just wears thin fast. ---Quality--- ☐ Even better than oddly satisfying hydraulic press videos at 2am ☐ B-E-A-U-tiful ☑ No complaints ☐ Janky but manageable ☐ GET THE BUG SPRAYYYYYYY Visually, the style works. It’s a rough, blocky 3D with an old-school foundation and some slight polish kind of vibe. Audio and sound effects are solid overall, however the satirical ads are about three times louder than the rest of the game, which was genuinely irritating. The reverse bullet hell section also felt a bit lacking, things like XP pickup range or power ups, which are common to this genre, simply aren’t a thing. On top of that, one achievement is locked behind paid DLC, which is pretty disappointing. Don't be fooled by the "Orca" DLC, which states you need all DLC to complete, as I managed this after simply installing the free "No Ads" DLC. Overall, I'm on the fence. It is a free title, but you cannot 100% it. The story was decent, but the ads were overly loud and annoying after the first 10 minutes of gameplay. The reverse bullet hell was fun but felt underdeveloped. If Steam had the option to be mid, I definitely would rate this that. I suggest that if 100% completion matters to you and you care more about the gameplay than the vibe/humor, then give this a miss. If you do enjoy satirical humor and have an hour to kill and are not particularly bothered about achievements, then definitely give it a go.
