Great game, really fun to play. However you get punished for collisions even if you didn't cause them resulting in many people (including me) to get banned for incidents they were caught up in but didn't cause.
9/10 Would give it a 10 if I didn't receive a month ban for cussing someone out when they intentionally killed me 1 hour and a half into the race, they were blue flagged btw, for a game with such a strict rating system alot of people tend to play it like it's Forza motorsport or something and just ram you or drive like they own the damn track, btw don't join their discord it's a bunch of mod warriors that haven't touched grass and will ban you for any little thing, no joke, anyways great game just ♥♥♥♥♥♥ stewards or whoever tf handles the reports, they need to hire legit people or something cause clearly half of these ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ don't know ♥♥♥♥ about racing
Best Sim game i ever played but ranking system is the worst i have ever seen. How can i gain safety rating and lose safety badge in the same race. Make up your mind game please. Otherwise 10/10
this game is really fun but the ban system and the warnings are just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. youre the one getting penalized for dumbasses running and turning into you IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STRAIGHT EVEN IF YOURE LITERALLY ON THE EDGE OF THE TRACK. straight ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, and you cant even appeal it so good job racecontrol youre a worthless piece of ♥♥♥♥.
Le Mans Ultimate has the potential to become a serious alternative to iRacing. The fact that it has both Safety Rating and Driver Rating systems is one of the biggest reasons why the racing quality can improve over time. Honestly, the community surprised me in a good way. In lower safety level lobbies, races can sometimes be chaotic with careless drivers and unnecessary contact. However, once you reach a higher safety level, the quality of the races improves noticeably. My biggest advice for new players is this: don’t focus only on being fast at the beginning. Focus on increasing your Safety Rating first. If you drive cleanly, better lobbies will open up and the game becomes much more enjoyable.
This thing is borderline unplayeble: its buggy, poorly optimized, and the players in my lobbys are just the same as acc open lobby players. I cant get in the same race as my friend, my forcfeedback constantly disappears in the void, and my lobbys are filled with braindead monkyes, AND alse its a dlc hell...
The game itself is fun but the player discipline and ban system is absurdly harsh, beyond even iracing which is notorious for its strictness. The fact that the single player mode is practically non existent and the only multiplayer options are ranked games, if you're a new player and you have a run of bad luck you're guaranteed to get suspended at which point you're slapped with a dirty driver badge and destined to never progress. I have several friends who are clean drivers in other games and avoid dumb overtakes who have all faced the same fate as me. Seeing how many other reviews are saying the same thing I know I'm not alone in thinking this way but this system needs addressed. If you are going to maintain such a strict system you need to implement unranked races for people to practice racing other people wheel to wheel. Having your first 10 races and then getting an email saying you have been banned by the devs for your performance over the past 10 races is pretty comical. I would attempt to refund the game if I hadn't been given the key by a friend
Personally, I feel like there is a severe lack of content for the price. The standard game only comes with 7 tracks, (there are more tracks but they're all part of DLCs), and there is no single player career at all (you can't even do championships, only single races). You can't even do online championships without paying a subscribtion (to my knowledge), at that point, just get Iracing, it's probably better. The cars so far feel nice but I am seriously considering refunding the game due to the sheer lack of content (I did however buy the game on sale for $40 AUD). If this was in early access or it was like 30-ish bucks (AUD) I'd probably be happy, however this is a $60 game with 8 DLCs that cost $100. I'll probably keep playing it, however I can't recommend it, especially not when the game is full price.
LMU: Lousy, Mediocre, Underdeveloped I regret all the money I spent on this scam. This is an rFactor 2 mod disquised as a game and priced an insane amount of money for what it's worth. A mod for a 15 year old, bugged game at that. It has no redeeming features: all cars handle terribly. It's just insane amounts of understeer. Unless you want to exit a slow corner, then there's snap-oversteer. The LMGT3 cars in this joke of a game, are supposed to reflect real LMGT3 cars: vehicles made with gentleman drivers in mind. Yet they handle so horribly it's beyond belief any of those gentleman drivers would pay any money to race them if they behaved like that in real life. Traction control simulation is an absolute joke. ABS simulation is good, that's basically the only thing they got right phisics wise. Flat spot simulation is overdone. I drove cars on slicks in real life, had my fair share of lockups and spins and at no point did I get such insane flatspots as from a small lockup in LMU. The list goes on. There are no safety cars, puddles in the rain are merely a visual aspect (ACC could simulate them many years ago but apparently this rfactor2 paid mod can't), windshield wipers on the mclaren are bugged and don't remove water from your windshield etc. Online play? Another joke: if someone rams you in the first corner wrecking your car you can't even DNF because if you do, the stupid excuse for a simulator will punish your safety rating because you didn't finish. Like what is the actual point of this in a 20 minute daily sprint!? What real life mechanism is simulated here!? None, racing in real life is actually easier than in this joke of a simulator. I tried both, I suggest you save any money you would spend for this game and go to a local gokart track or something like that. It will be a lot more enjoyable and a lot less frustrating. Oh yes, money: DLC's cost a ridiculous amount of it. Plus they are now implementing a mechanism that will allow you to write off one bad race. Sounds like a good idea to solve that DNF problem I mentioned above? Well it would be if it wasn't for the fact that it will only be available for those that pay a monthly subscription. Yes, it's this shameless. It designs a terrible system specifically to make you pay for ways to bypass it's worst parts. This alone warrants a negative review. EDIT Forgot to write about the UI: it's absolutely horrible, the worst in any recent game. Every click makes you wait for a LMU logo animation to appear and disappear. It's also bugged: sometimes it blocks the "Join Practice" button for no reason in online races and you have to close and reopen the game for it to start working. And you have to do it several times. And even if it does appear, sometimes the servers are greyed out and you can't join unless you restart again. And you can see the servers are running because it shows player numbers. Bugged and hopeless. So that's another reason not to buy it
The Devs have made this game worse with the implementation of the "badge" system the dirty drivers get bundled together, and lord help you if you end up there by getting wreck out. So no I do not recommend this game, dont give them your money for a crap game.
