3D first-person walking simulator with a side of exploration/interaction with the environment. The game tells the story of the Space Lemmings from Space who, after running many experiments with breakfast alphabet and the space-time continuum, got blocked between dimensions (or something).

Loved the music and the overall experience. I'm a fan of trippy games so this is right up my alley! Took about 40 mins to complete.
This game is such a hidden gem! If only more games didn't take themselves so seriously!

i play this game so often its kind of nuts. you can complete it within an hour and i think it genuinely changed my life. i save the space lemmings from space every day now
thanks to the space lemmings from space in the friendship ship, i now know what it feels like to be under influence of illegal substances. this was indeed an experience. 10/10 heavily recommended to play while eating breakfast
LAVALAMP is an experimental first-person exploration title developed and published by The Space Lemmings from Space Productions. Rather than focusing on traditional gameplay systems like combat, progression trees, or puzzle-heavy mechanics, it chooses a more abstract direction centered on atmosphere, audiovisual experimentation, and surreal environmental storytelling. Built with the spirit of an independent creative project rather than a conventional adventure game, LAVALAMP offers an experience that feels designed to be explored, observed, and absorbed rather than conquered. The premise immediately establishes the unusual personality behind the project. The narrative follows strange beings known as the Space Lemmings from Space after an experiment involving alphabet cereal and space-time goes disastrously wrong. The result leaves them trapped in a bizarre situation that becomes the foundation for a surreal interactive experience filled with unusual imagery and unpredictable moments. The story itself rarely aims for traditional structure. Instead, it leans heavily into absurdity and strange humor, creating an atmosphere where confusion becomes part of the intended appeal. Gameplay is intentionally simple and built around movement through surreal spaces. Players explore environments from a first-person perspective while interacting with various objects scattered throughout the world. Rather than placing emphasis on challenge or progression systems, LAVALAMP encourages curiosity. Exploration becomes the primary source of engagement. Players move through colorful environments, experiment with interactions, and gradually absorb the atmosphere without feeling pressured by strict objectives or demanding mechanics. The game's visual design serves as one of its strongest defining qualities. LAVALAMP embraces psychedelic presentation completely, creating environments that often resemble surreal dreams rather than realistic locations. Bright colors dominate the screen while abstract environmental design creates a feeling that players have entered a world operating according to its own strange internal logic. The environments rarely prioritize realism, but realism is clearly not the objective. The game instead focuses on creating mood through unusual imagery and unpredictable visual choices. Audio plays an equally important role in shaping the experience. Developed by contemporary composer Gabriel Ledoux, the project treats music and sound design as major pillars rather than supporting features. Environmental interactions frequently produce unusual sounds and audio feedback that reinforce immersion. Music feels connected directly to exploration itself rather than existing passively in the background. The combination creates an experience where visuals and sound constantly support one another, strengthening the game's experimental identity. There is also something admirable about the personal nature of the project. As an independently created first release, LAVALAMP carries the energy of a creator pursuing an unusual idea without compromising it to fit broader expectations. That creative freedom becomes visible throughout the entire experience. The game never feels designed according to market trends or mainstream formulas. Instead, it feels handcrafted around a very specific artistic vision. Its shorter runtime also works to its advantage. Lasting roughly between thirty minutes and an hour depending on exploration habits, the experience remains focused and avoids unnecessary repetition. The compact design helps preserve the novelty of its presentation without allowing the surreal concepts to become overly familiar. While players expecting large worlds or deep progression systems may find the content limited, the smaller scope ultimately aligns well with the experience being offered. LAVALAMP will naturally appeal more strongly to players interested in atmospheric exploration and artistic experimentation than those seeking challenge-driven gameplay. Traditional objectives remain minimal, and progression exists more through observation than accomplishment. Some players may find the abstract presentation difficult to connect with. Others may appreciate the freedom to simply wander and experience something unusual without constant direction. What makes the project memorable is how completely it commits to its identity. Many experimental games eventually retreat toward familiarity to maintain accessibility. LAVALAMP avoids that approach entirely. It embraces surrealism from beginning to end, creating something that feels highly personal and distinct. The strange humor, colorful environments, and experimental audio combine into an experience that refuses to behave like conventional game design. LAVALAMP may not satisfy players searching for complexity or traditional structure, but for those willing to approach it with curiosity and openness, it offers a memorable audiovisual experience built around creativity rather than convention. It feels less like completing a game and more like briefly stepping inside someone else's unusual imagination. LAVALAMP succeeds by delivering an experimental and atmospheric experience that prioritizes artistic individuality, surreal presentation, and immersive audiovisual design over traditional gameplay expectations. Rating: 8/10
This is one of those "wtf did I just play" games, but in a lot of cases those games leave me feeling neutral, at best. "Yeah, I just experienced that, but it was just o.k. Wouldn't play it again." Not this time. This is the most psychadelic thing that I have ever beheld. It is extremely visually striking the entire time. As far as "story" goes... well it can't be put into words (I couldn't do it justice), but it is very silly "deep thoughts" type stuff, and even though this is a very trippy game, like, very obviously meant to simulate a drug trip, there are no references of any kind to anything like that. Very much PG in nature through and through. Very breakfast-centric, you'll see. I might not play this one again any time soon, or truthfully, ever again, but this is a game that I will remember for a long time. Highly recommended for the visuals alone, and the humour is pretty good too. Eat your breakfast.
