The game doesn't run in frames per second but seconds per frame. I'm using a quest 2 with a quest link cable and it refuses to run.
It's a very interesting way to learn french. However there's still some improvements to be made. Of course thing will improve as time goes on, but the thing that was kind of annoying was that the grabbing was not always accurate. I sometimes grabbed the wrong object. I also completed the free version and it asked me to subscribe. It makes sense you have to pay to keep this working of course, so I wanted to pay for the subscription. However, when I clicked the subscription button in VR it did not redirect me to anything. Maybe it's not implemented yet, but nothing is happening when I click it.

Language Lab is a language learning video game using virtual reality technology. Developed by Language Lab VR and released in 2022, Language Lab strives to offer an engaging and interactive language learning experience. While it showcases commendable efforts, it also faces some challenges. One of the main strengths of Language Lab lies in its ability to create a simulated language environment, enabling students to practice their language skills in a controlled and interactive setting. Unlike English Teaching Assistant VR, Language Lab presents various language exercises, and vocabulary drills. This approach can be an effective way for learners to build confidence and improve fluency. Furthermore, Language Lab shows great potential in bridging the educational gap for students with limited access to traditional language learning resources or teachers. Its ability to reach remote and underprivileged communities can significantly contribute to expanding language education opportunities. However, similar to English Teaching Assistant VR, Language Lab faces some limitations. One crucial aspect where it might fall short is in providing personalized feedback and individual attention, which human teachers excel at. Language learning involves understanding cultural nuances and developing effective communication skills that might be challenging for a VR system to fully replicate. Moreover, technical barriers and the need for specific hardware and software could hinder the widespread adoption of Language VR. High costs and limited access to VR technology might restrict its usage, particularly in less affluent areas. Additionally, while Language VR aims to simulate real-life scenarios, it may not capture the complexities of human interaction entirely. Subtle non-verbal communication and the ability to adapt teaching methods to individual students' needs might prove challenging for a VR system to reproduce convincingly. Language Lab should have an extensive array of resources, including virtual textbooks, grammar lessons, and pronunciation guides. These resources are valuable assets for independent learning and can provide essential support outside the virtual classroom. Additionally, multimedia elements, such as videos and audio clips, enrich the learning experience further. In conclusion, Language Lab represents an innovative and promising stride towards utilizing virtual reality for language learning. Its interactive and immersive approach can be beneficial for certain aspects of language acquisition. However, it is crucial to understand that it should complement traditional teaching methods rather than replace them entirely. Addressing the limitations discussed and continuing to refine the technology could lead to even more effective VR-based language learning experiences in the future.
Before I played Language Lab, I had a small pp, no friends, no gf, depression, and no life. These things havent changed, but the game is pretty good
This actually works.
It works surprisingly well, I hope that more people will start using it
I mean it's a good way to learn, after only 1 or 2 restarts it works. The game is a bit buggy but it works very well. I am using the OQ2 with AirLink and it all launches perfectly, can't wait to see where this goes !!
This is a good start for the concept and I can see the potential. Some of the current issues have already been brought up and the developers have responded that they're working on it. I'm looking forward to this game getting better. My main suggestion would be to allow the user to easily turn on and off subtitles for the native language and the language being learned via a button so not through a buried menu. I get what the person is saying but I can't tell what exactly the words are or mean outside of the nouns most of the time so getting to see the words would advance the learning and lesson the struggle a bit. Then all the doing actions would reinforce the lesson. Also, please include a quick tutorial because starting I had no idea what buttons to press to do what and that would help a bunch. Overall, I'm very hopeful that the game will improve and be a valuable learning tool. Thank you for your efforts.
infelizmente o programa não funcionou....fica parado na tela colorida e não sai...a ideia é muito boa...mas infelizmente não funciona
Edit: I've checked the game every now and then, it's sad to see an early access attempt (prepare?) to charge subscription when blackbox updates occur once in a blue moon. Just try for free, but investing financially I don't know . Past: Interesting approach to language learning, although I have less than an hour. It's a nice way to learn some vocab and common sentences to respond and follow to. Looking forward to future updates.
