About
A VHS-style psychological thriller inspired by Fears to Fathom and Chilla’s Art. Ordinary routines become your only defense against a creeping, unseen horror in this slow-burn 1990s-inspired thriller.
Kuromaku is a narrative-focused first-person horror experience built around isolation, domestic realism, and psychological tension. Rather than relying on constant spectacle, the game draws fear from silence, subtle environmental shifts, and the growing feeling that something inside the house is watching.

I really liked this short game; yes, it's a little buggy, but nothing that spoils your playthrough, especially after some patching. It has a creepy atmosphere with one or two jumpscares, and the plot is interesting enough to keep you invested until it's conclusion. You can feel the enthusiasm the deveoper has for the genre as you play, which more than makes up for it's lack of polish (at least for me)! I recommend, especially if you have a soft spot for indie horror.
good story telling of this game and maybe fix a bit on UI for interacting especially when I sit or interacting on the phone
This game was an absolute joy and blast to play. It was a highly anticipated game for me, it being a small dev team (their first game) and a indie horror game, it was right up my alley. Firstly, I just want to say the music in this game goes HARD ngl. The music was absolutley beautiful. The writing was also pretty heartfelt at times, I could feel the passion in the words, that in moments hit me a certain way to where it almost felt personal. The entire vibe of the game I could feel was original and I cant wait to see what they cook up next time. Also, the dev team is actually the coolest people I have ever come across, very caring, kind, and respectful group. You guys have won a lifelong supporter and fan of your beautiful creations. What a way to support small content creators/streamers. Much Love <3 WAT UP WIT CHA!!!
It genuinely was such an amazing experience, playing this game. Truly such a unique and fun game. The story, visuals, music, literaly everything is a 11/10!!!
I enjoyed this game! Beautiful assets, intriguing storyline, and wonderful game music also made by the dev. I enjoyed doing all of the different endings in order to see more of the story. Looking forward to seeing more future games from this dev!
Amazing for their first game and alotting budget! The overall idea was great and the jumpscares hit at the perfect times. One of the things I would mention that could be improved in a patch would be the dialogue pacing as some were faster than others. Babs I look forward to what other games you bring out in the future, and if ever you need a Totsy to be in the game you know where to find me hahah!
I Thought The Game Was Great. It Was Alot Of Fun! My Gameplay: https://youtu.be/TWLNy7o_Q1U
