I've been playing Voltage Inc's games since their first Eng title, and Kissed by the Baddest Bidder was definitely one of their biggest games that had the entire fandom in "flames", to say the least lol! I've played all of the character's first few routes on mobile, but I honestly had to get it on Steam as well due to 1) the extremely reasonable price given during sales and 2) there are some routes included here that I've yet to get which makes it really worth purchasing! 🙇🏻♀️ & playing it on PC definitely saves my eyes a bit more too than playing on a mobile screen lol! In terms of the actual gameplay, writing, etc, KBTBB definitely didn't disappoint me. The writing is great, CGs are lovely, and the routes for every guy will keep you both entertained and at the edge of your seat, having you go through Numerous Emotional Rollercoasters™ for sure. I also personally did not have an issue with the MC/heroine (I actually like her!). As someone from an Asian country, I can understand why she does some of the things she do, and I do believe her actions (besides a few silly ones that I can deff understand why frustrates people) isn't as deplorable as some may make it to be. Yes, she does makes some stupid mistakes and chicken out at the dumbest of times occasionally, but I find her personality in general to be fine. In my personal opinion, it's just a difference in mindset/ideals(?? Not sure what would be the best word to use), culture, background, and so forth. If people are able to understand & accept that, then I'd definitely encourage people to try out this otome :). If you're able to get this during sales, do it! As someone who spent quite a bit on the mobile app already, I can deff say it's INCREDIBLY worth it to buy it here first, if you want to try it out. Then if you enjoy it, continue with the mobile app for the remaining seasons because... Yes... Kbtbb has more than 6 seasons, at this point lmao 😂 Hope this tiny review helps! 💛🌻
11/10 would kiss again. My rank: Soryu > Baba > Eisuke > Mamoru > Ota.
Honestly I don't even know why this got a lot of positive reviews. I know everyone has their different takes when it comes to voltage otome games (this is my opinion) but this was like not my cup of tea, I didn't even like how i was treated in this game makes me look like a weak loser and a "doormat". And how the story was being presented was confusing next thing I know I'm here and the next few scenes after I'm somewhere else makes me go "wtf?". I love you voltage I enjoyed playing your games like masquerade kiss and the others but this was one was a no.
I liked this game at first. It has a ton of story line which made it worth the price tag. However, I was very put off by the verbal abuse by all of the characters. The first time I chose a guy (Ota - The Artist) he treated me like a dog so I quit with him in the first few minutes. Then I chose Soryu (the Mob boss). I really liked him until the second season where ALL of the characters started treating me like a dog. Now I am six hours in so I cannot get a refund...
I really need to stop buying this type of romance game; They -never- live up to the promise of the premise. A true villain will never be found in these game, sad tho that may be. Is it really too much to ask for a romance with a thief that does not care who he steals from or a killer that truly kills without remorse? *Sigh* But if you like a hollywood fantasy version of bad guys with a heart of gold, you'll most likely love this game. The story is very good, and there is an insane amount of content, for every single love-interest in it. So overall I will say that the game is worth the money IF you want a sweet romance wrapped in a thin layer false wickedness. And, again; the stories themselves are actually really well written.
This is is still one of my favorite Voltage games and I'm so happy that these games have been ported to steam. I really want more of the old Voltage games or some of the extra characters added to the ones already here, like the Mad Hatter for example, but still love these guys
