Barely any content, no real goals or way to beat the game, repetitive, and the challenge of surviving can be eliminated entirely. The only good things about this game are its art style and sound design. Wait until one year or so until it is out of early access to purchase this game. In my opinion this is a little more than a tech demo. As of August 6, 2021 here are the pros and cons of this game: Pros -Cute art style and excellent sound design and subtle background music. -Few but interesting enemy types with unique attack patterns. Cons -Randomly generated dungeons that all look the same. It's like going through the same room over and over again just with a slightly different layout. No traps, no puzzles, no concrete rewards other than XP. There are a total of 20 floors you can beat. -There's a lot of XP grinding/farming needed to level up. Spending a point to level up only applies to one character. If you have four followers you need four points. There are only two stats that you can upgrade which are health and attack damage. -Boring combat. No dodge rolls, no blocking, no stamina. You just click to attack. -There isn't really any goal. You can't really beat the game and watch the credits roll. You can reach up to floor 20 in the dungeons but that's about it. You can still continue playing the game after that. -If you expand your settlement until you reach the desert area, no monsters spawn at all. Seriously? You can eliminate the challenge completely. You cannot even build forever since the map is small. Even then there isn't really a point to building anything after that. -When you build stuff, you place a blueprint of it on the ground. You can't walk through it. To build it you have to put the resource inside of a box. This box spawns in front of the blueprint. If you can't reach the box you can't build stuff. This also applies to repairing things.

Devs literally put it on sale during the holiday sale and then shortly after "ceased development". Steam won't refund it either, it is an empty shell of a game and it looked like it had a lot of potential but the devs just seemed to be doing a cash grab.
Game failed to launch. let it die peacefully. much love to those who tried to make a cute game.
Yet another game the developers bail on as soon as they encounter any type of funding issues. Get left with a barely made game. Note, that despite playing less than 2hrs of it, I could not get a refund because I owned it too long. Which is odd.... cause since I bought it, F*** all had been added to the game. Very odd that the developers also put the game on sale, then announced they were abandoning it only a month later.
I wish I could pick "Yes" and "No" as a recommendation. It's cute and the concept is really fun. It reminds me a lot of Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Stardew Valley, a basic hack/slack tower defense game, with A Link's Awakening (the revamped Switch version) type graphics. With that being said, I'm sorry to say that there's a lot that this game lacks during it's early access. For one, your NPC companions are duds. They help you grind items you need for building, but if you place up walls and gates, they're too stupid to know to walk around them. After building the Blacksmith shop and building some weapons for my team, my companions only targeted the enemies I was hitting or if they were being hit. This was really frustrating. I felt like I was the scapegoat in fights because I either had 1-3 companions ganging up on one enemy with me, or all getting hit by different enemies and trying to get back to the enemy I was targeting. It barely felt like a team at all. Secondly, there's barely any story besides the opening cut scene. I'm hoping there's more to the game later on, because like I said, I did really enjoy playing it. After 4 hours of the same thing though? I'll probably pick it back up when there's more updates to it. I do see a lot of potential for the game. I hope the bugs are worked out because I did enjoy the building aspect as well as the dungeons. But if I had to give a recommendation right now? I couldn't :/.
Juego ABANDONADO. NO COMPRAR !!
"Notice: Kingdom Builders is no longer available on the Steam store." Looked great, is abandoned. :(
The developers made a decent start on this one but unfortunately they were not able to secure sufficient funding and could not continue development. The game is abandoned so I can't recommend it in its current state.
!!WARNING!!, Abandoned Early Access game.
Do not buy, not longer being developed and whats there isnt worth the money.
