Killing Floor 3

It is a fun game, when you can play it. It's a shadow of what Killing Floor 2 offered us and isn't quite the same arcade gameplay, but if you like to fight zombies in increasingly difficult waves, it's a good option. The constant necessity to "unpack shaders" is so very annoying and occasionally being frozen at a loading screen or freezing while joining your friends can be patience straining. The classes are nearly as fun as in KF2 with a few variations in the firearms and their modifications, but some sorta life needs to be breathed into the game as a whole. Customizations and skins are abysmal, including cosmetics locked behind a paywall even in free "battlepasses" or whatever this game wants to call those. Now all the variations of "Zeds" have something to say and your friend group "in game battle chatter" has really been decreased in amount but increased in necessity (you'll hear your allies cry out at the sight of larger targets or unique zeds) which is nice but lowkey difficult to hear when zeds can speak. The Bosses have been changed so drastically to how they were in KF2 that they're more like Resident Evil minibosses. They offer less dialogue than the occasional Zed but have some very interesting phases, which lowkey makes them kinda fun the first few times. Overall, this game is good with friends but KF2 was better in nearly every way. It almost seems like a downgrade or terrible mod of KF2, even after "optimization" updates finally came around. I'd give it a chance but go in with an open mind and a bit of patience.
