Killing Floor 3

Killing Floor 3 is a fun game if you are willing to overlook certain flaws; and no other flaw is greater than that it calls itself Killing Floor. It's not. Not really, at least. The developers, in an effort to improve upon the hit of KF2, strayed too far from what I, and many other fans, would consider to be Killing Floor. Character abilities, weapon customization, *no healing of your allies unless you're a medic*, *no door reinforcing (without an item)* and it goes on. Simply put, this would work far better as a spin-off than a Killing Floor game. That said! The gunplay feels amazing - better than KF2 in my opinion, the skill trees are a lot more interesting, the gun customization is actually kinda fun (though I dislike how it can be levelled for objectively stronger guns), the enemy variety and behaviour is expanded and the abilities are honestly kinda fun. If you are able to view this as a spin-off rather than Killing Floor (and, frankly, deal with the occasional mechanical problems which should REALLY be worked on) then this is an actually fun game. Get it on a discount.

What is this supposed to be? The complete Killing Floor vibe is gone. The voice lines seems to be written by a 10 year old, who tried to add insults for the old feeling...which surprisingly didn't work out. Graphics seem outdated and blurry. The Zombie design isnt very new or cool. The sounds are missing the old "bang" and feel way too soft. Maps seem fine so far. But already on the first steps this game feels too woke for me. It missed the old hard epicness from previous episodes. I need a good old patriarch insulting my playstyle and not the choice to play "Scharfschützin" as a female sniper version. Wanted to give it a try, but as a huge KF2 and KF1 fan the third one fails miserably...

At first, I disliked this game. Then I got to learning the mechanics - I played a lot of Killing Floor 2 - so certain things were different that didn't feel good to me at first (but also a lot of things WERE familiar, but then, once I got used to it, it's actually super super fun. Like after the learning curve. Now, I love this game! It's super fun and rewarding - I'd argue more than Killing Floor 2.
