Kili's treasure

"Kili's treasure" is a narrative driven point and click adventure/puzzle game where you click around a static isometric scene to uncover various notes and solve assigned tasks. The story somewhat depressingly is about a dead pet, and the game quality is somewhat depressing too. This has some really mediocre looking graphics that will understandably be a turn off for a lot of gamers, and it's a big contributor to the failure of the game to attract gamers despite having no up-front cost. Gaming is a primarly visual medium, and if developers want to succeed, they must understand that it's not an area for compromise. You deserve better than compromises. Not every "free" game really is. There's often MTX, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, or any other number of things that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really does appear to be a fully free game. Nothing demonstrates a developers belief in themselves and their work than giving it away without any remuneration. This is a service to themselves, and the gaming industry, and should be applauded. Of course, just because something is free, doesn't necessarily mean it's valuable. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 3 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Not this time. This isn't worth downloading. While this won't cost you any money, you get what you pay for, and sometimes, that's nothing.

Cute little puzzle story.

Unfortunately way too repetitive and not engaging enough plus the storytelling is very lackluster and obvious right from the start. Yes, it's free, but it's just not fun enough

Kili's Treasure is short and sweet -- literally, I completed it in an hour -- and its mechanic leaves something to be desired, but it ultimately leaves me with happy tears and a powerful message about leaving room in your heart after the passing of a beloved pet.

Short and sweet, uncovering the tale of a girl and her dog.

A short free and bittersweet game about loss and love for a pet dog, going through memories, interacting and searching through rooms, furniture and objects. The graphics are okay, nothing remarkable to note of, the music is the same and loops but sometimes stops entirely until you'll passed through a room or 2, so no music to listen to and there isn't any interaction noises either but hey, it's free, why not give it a try? Overall an okay game, 3/5 Side note: Whoever designed the room's layouts are diabolical, wdym I have to pass through the bedroom to go to the kitchen and the bathroom???
