KemonoMix Re

Simple creature collecting game, with a hint of cannibalism. Train kemono, sent it to the wilds, capture other kemono. ....Then "mix" kemonos (consume them) and get stronger hybrid. Sent out your buffed up cute little abomination into the wilds again, rinse and repeat. Music is nostalgic and catchy, seems to be straight from the original KemonoMix from DS era. (...Unfortunatly you can not longer buy the original as the e-shop is dead.) English localisation is ok. No typos and text is comprehansible. PSA, there is no Autosave and getting around menus can be a little but confusing at first. Be sure to save your progress. 3D models of kemonos looks clean and animations are well done. There are neat details put into enviroments, like occasinal rain so its pleasent to look at. As you progress the game, you will unlock more "biomes" - exploration areas with different kemonos. Gamepley is prettty simplistic but game itself feels unique enough and its cheap, so if you are tired of overcomplicated games and want to just chill its nice. I think it would be best on steam deck, when you need to kill some time on commute and game does not require a ton of player imput.

ミックスという配合的なものでケモノを強化して探索で新たなケモノを見つけ、それを使ってさらに強くしていく……というのが遊びの流れ。ゲーム性はよくも悪くもシンプルなので、ゆるキャラ的なケモノが刺さるかどうかが評価を分けそう。ただ、価格には見合っていると思う。 とは言え初見プレイでコンプクリアできるほど浅くもない。思ったように育てられるかどうかには運も絡むし、ある程度プレイしてわかるコツ的なものもある。 育てられるケモノは1匹だけで気に入ったケモノの外見を残せないのが残念だけど、それも含めて「理想の形でクリアしたい」という気持ちにはなった。 探索時は早送りやログのみを確認できるスキップは可能だけど、早送りもさほど早くはないし、スキップだと作業感が強くなるので、キャラのゆるさを活かしたダイジェストみたいなものがあればもっとよかったかも。
