凯尔文 - Kelvin And The Chateau

挺好的。没有怎么玩过这类游戏。迷宫那块卡了好久，大家记得用shift 键加速，不然没有办法过关的......剧情有点跳，没怎么铺垫桃和凯尔文的故事，凯尔文母亲的情绪也显得不可理解......但是总体来说美工还是非常精良的，场景挺多的。 Pretty well. I seldom play this kind of game. Thus, spent a long time solving the maze, for those who have the same problem as mine, don't forget to use "shift" in order to speed up if you don't want to stuck in that maze ...... Maybe the creators could try to tell the story in a more slow and interesting way. Both the actions of Kelvin's mom and "Tao" seem to be a little wired. At the end of the day, anyone who would love to experience a free and nice story with Kelvin are kindly recommended to play this nice game.

RPG Maker strikes again! "凯尔文 - Kelvin And The Chateau" is one of hundreds of low effort retro-pixel RPG Maker asset/construction kit flips spamming the Steam catalog, made with the RPG Maker video game construction kit... in their own words, "Our easy to use tools are simple enough for a child." Like all RPG Maker "games", this is essentially a bunch of low quality/canned assets from RPG Maker coupled with a cringeworthy high school anime club fan fiction. Notably, the "developer" couldn't work out how to use RPG Maker to make a JRPG (the only thing it can do, and it's terrible at it). Instead, we have an extremely badly made adventure/e-book with some cringey writing about the authors pretend friends keeping secrets from him, and the authors relationship with his mother (we don't need to know, seriously!) all told through the remarkable crapfest of an RPG Maker engine asset flip. As with all RPG Maker games, the poor quality engine displays badly in fullscreen and doesn't have full HD support or any graphics tweaking options, making this unacceptable for any dedicated modern PC gamer. The point can be made that the intention of RPG Maker is to make demos and small games to pass around friends, and shouldn't be used for "professional" game development. Like most RPG Maker shovelware and asset flips, the game features extremely low quality copy + pasted 2D retro pixel art, looks awful, and has even worse gameplay. RPG Maker is an absolutely terrible construction kit, and never results in games of any reasonable quality or value to gamers. There's no English translation for the this, but that's okay. The language of bad products is universal. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. This is "free" enough (not every "free" game in the "free" section is truly free, there's usually some hidden price tag), at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good, and the cost of a game is more than just financial, your time is valuable too. In terms of public reception, this failed. There's well over 130 million gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at less than 100 concurrent players, they couldn't even break three figures, and now there's basically nobody playing it. Even though it's free. This is a dismal public reception, but it's easy to see why gamers rejected it. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Not this time. This isn't worth downloading. While this won't cost you any money, you get what you pay for, and sometimes, even when the game is free, it's still not enough.
