Kairai Inn is an interesting little game. The creature designs are grotesque and effective, and I think there is the basis of an great experience here. In Kairai Inn, the player explores randomly generated floors, using items found in chests to fight violent entities known as Kairai. Items are limited use, so the player must be vigilant when using their them to get through the level. I think there's something cool here. There's the start of an interesting and unique voice. However, I feel like there are things that could be worked on to improve a potential sequel game. It is very possible to end up on a floor that does not have enough items to defeat all Kairai. This becomes a problem, as the player is penalized in health for leaving a floor without defeating all of the entities. This leads to a losing battle on each run. Secondarily, I feel that the game needs some sort of soundtrack. Silence can be creepy and unnerving, but here I feel it can make the experience feel a bit flat. I think some sort of experimental reactive soundtrack would do this came wonders to make it feel more accessible and excited for the player. No matter what, I'd say give this game a try. It's weird and gross, and I think that it's worth experiencing.

Fun little Roguelike where you ascend floors while killing bizarre monsters. You will move trough a small maze of room killings monsters while opening chests for items and try to reach the exit. Whats important to note is that you need offensive items to attack at all, and these items wear off after a certain amount of uses, so depending on the whims of the game when opening chests, you might find yourself lacking in way to attack, at which point you have the option to go trough the exit prematurely, however you will lose hitpoint based on the number of monsters left alive. Even then you will most likely find yourself in a dead en situation. At the end of your run you will get points based on your score, which you can use to buy or upgrade skills. These skills you can only actiavet after lowering a cooldown by either killing enemies or opening chests. Reaching certain highscore theresholds will unlock new skills for purchase. The monster variety is pretty generous. The game has 3 different difficulties (which unlock different skills) and a tutorial. For the low price the game is some nice short arcade fun, however I do wish the game had actual settings options, since there no basic features like volume settings or a button to close the game, and on the gameplay side the melee item needs something to better show its effective range. Despite that I think what it offers paired with the low price when its on sale makes for a fun little game to pass some time.
Very good experimental little horror game. It does feel unfinished in a way though, on a higher resolution than normal 1080p I can see the generic Unity background surrounding the game, the English translation is Rough, but not the worst I've seen. Lack of additional sound design as well is ehhhh.
Arcadey roguelike with cool monsters that synergize against you. Good sense of scraping by as you rush through each level using whatever items you're able to gather
cool and grotesque monsters :)
I like it
A pretty neat Roguelike with a pretty interesting combat system Unfortunately, there’s not that much content so I would recommend getting this on a sale
Jogo esquisito com monstro design muito foda
