Another cash-grab game. I enjoyed it at first because I'm a huge fan of Kaiju No. 8, but it quickly became repetitive and boring. Every time a new character is released, the game pushes you to pull for them through the gacha system. It constantly feels like the latest character is required to clear content effectively, which is extremely frustrating. The stamina system is poorly designed as well. A maximum capacity of 999 is far too low and should be increased significantly so players can save resources for later. I eventually quit the game, and I'd advise others to stay away from it.
i tried this game for 5 mins and thought it was terrible there are review saying the game runs great i spent 1 min in loading screen then theres reviews saying it follows the story from what iv seen in the start it doesnt at all kafka hibino and Kikoru Shinomiya are in the tutorial which i would think reno would be doing the graphics are terrible theres better games to play then this and thats leaving out the company rep as pretty much everyone thats used any game they released its terrible in general and they will pull a game out of nowhere its all shareholder no gamer thats all the company is about
Gorgeous, high-quality game with a generous gacha and one of the most loyal IP gachas I've played.
Kaiju No.8 The Game's model and animation quality puts old cel-shaded titles like Genshin to shame. The art style reproduces the original manga with sharper, more refined features, which IMHO looks cooler and more aesthetic than the anime.
It features an original, fully-voiced story that takes place alongside the original one
and introduces a couple of new characters, most notably Kikoru's sister, who is seamlessly integrated into Kaiju 8 universe. Fully-voiced, with dynamic cameras, scene composition, animations and some really cool cutscenes, it looks smoother than a 3D anime.
The gameplay
is turn-based, with cinematic camera angles and cool attack/transition animations. You fight against waves of 1~5 enemies. It looks amazing, has auto and speed-up. I'm not a fan of turn-based combat, but thankfully the devs don't shy away from letting us skip content we've already cleared, and you can even skip lower levels in seasonal endgame content by clearing the higher levels directly. One thing I really like about this game is how its mechanics enable build freedom, unlike the usual gacha. There is no implicit elemental advantage. Instead enemies have armor plates which require specific damage types to break, and it doesn't have to be your main DPS that does it.
The gacha
It's amazing with an 8% SSR rate (3% char/ 5% weapon combined in same banner). Although only 1%/1% for the featured unit and their weapon (still better than many recent gachas), the game gives a lot of pulls, has stable pity exchange currency and - my favorite part - new "limited" characters get added as offbanners as soon as their initial banner ends! Even before the event/patch ends! This is how I got almost every single character in the game despite not even playing much recently. And I always have enough currency to guarantee the next 2 Kikoru banners.
Balance
There are shill buffs in endgame (conquests), but even then, the buffs are usually broad, like buffing two elements or two types of damage. There is a slow powercreep, but not to a point where older characters can be replaced with newer ones. Some new characters make amazing teams with older characters thanks to their synergies, and most teams leave room for 1 or even 2 flex spots. There is a stark gap between standard banner characters and limited ones, but they've added an enhancement system that buffs some of them. This is a great way to maintain a sense of balance going forward in a game which, honestly, feels infinitely more balanced than the average gacha from the start. The characters, both OG and new, are cool af and stay true to the IP (even the new swimsuits are basically still combat suits), but people who are not into the original work will be put off by the lack of new characters (and fanservice), as it focuses more on the pre-existing cast. So for those of you who are new to Kaiju 8, please join the Kikoru fanclub! If you're a fan of, Kaiju No.8, The Game will be an absolute treat for your eyes. As a game, it offers a cinematic experience and turn-based combat with lots of build potential, and as a gacha, a casual-friendly experience, relatively free from the usual frustrating gacha shenanigans.

The game is really comforting to play even after a stressful day though the only thing I notice is that the eyes do have animation's but barley blink or move similare to how eye's move back and forth but it's not a report, only a noted observation.
