Awful awful horror game sound cues are awful and don't have give the player an idea on what to do next enemies suck and are more annoying then anything else using the calculator is janky and just awful no real structure to it ,you don't know how much time you have before the next enemy shows up it is all chained together too fast ,after i reached 90 score ,after each answer i had to duck behind the table and hide and then a monster appeared i think really ruins the game, mainly because you can barely hear him half the time and other times ,there is no way for you to see in the darkness where he is ,because you are supposed to look away but the timing is so bad the moment i turned off my flashlight, i died. Seriously need a total re-balance of everything because this is a complete janky mess that is barely playable. Enemies spawn way too much and each of the enemies don't have a sound cue you can tell them apart. They all act the same ,and given the fact you don't have like a lives system and checkpoints at least it makes it hard to even go past 90 score when the player has nothing. I had to spam the keyboard to even know what button to press to turn off the flashlight. I had no idea you can hide under the table until someone told me on discord. It is one of the worst horror games i have player period. I hope the developer goes and just fixes and adds enough quality of life features to where a normal person can finish this game but as it stands. Awful horror game that belongs in the dumpster.

"just a game to test your lQ" is a low key asset flip, a bunch of other people's assets assembled badly to make a basic game, typically this kind of thing is done by amateur developers without sufficient budget, talent and/or staff to do the job of game development professionally. It's then quickly rushed into Steam Direct. And, unsurprisingly, this never results in a product with any quality, interest, or value for gamers. This is your usual collection of Unity assets dumped on a first person horror adventure game blueprint. Some small (and ineffective) effort went into slapping on a few puzzles around the assets, so you kind of do math problems while avoiding being jumpscared by a Unity asset while you move around a Unity asset house. Yeah, this is garbage. So, the game might look better than you'd expect from an amateur project, but this is because it's partially or completely made up of stock assets, "borrowed" from asset stores and free asset websites. Very little in this game is truly the creation of the "developer", it's just a bunch of rearranged assets. While there's no up front price for this asset flip, the other problem with asset flips is that when developers aren't capable of doing their job and creating high quality assets, it's also true they can't do any of the rest of the job of a game developer either. That's definitely true for "just a game to test your lQ". On pricing, this is "free" enough, at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good, and the cost of a game is more than just financial, your time is valuable too. Despite having no up-front cost, this failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at less than 100 concurrent players, they couldn't even break three figures, and now there's basically nobody playing it. Even though it's free. This is a dismal public reception, but it's easy to see why gamers rejected it. It's important to note that, despite this being such a low quality product, there's a number of positive reviews that all appeared immediately after the game launched, from suspiciously inactive Steam accounts that have reviewed almost no other games apart from this. Take the review score of this game with a grain of salt. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Nope. This isn't worth downloading. While this didn't cost me any money up front, I still feel ripped off.

ジャンプスケアあります 30分もかからずに全クリ出来ます IQテストゲームとの謳い文句ですが、本当にIQの高い方はこのゲームを遊ばないと思います
just a game to test your lQ, developed and published by woodya, is the kind of project that feels intentionally offbeat from the moment it begins. Framed as a simple online IQ test gone wrong, it quickly shifts into something far stranger—a first-person experience that blends trivia questions with an uneasy, low-budget horror atmosphere. The setup is almost comically mundane at first, but the idea of inviting a mysterious “expert” into your home at night to administer the test establishes an immediate sense of discomfort. From there, the game leans heavily into unpredictability, creating an experience that is less about measuring intelligence and more about navigating a bizarre, tension-filled scenario. The core loop revolves around answering questions correctly while staying alive in an environment that increasingly feels hostile and surreal. The questions themselves are generally straightforward and not particularly demanding, reinforcing the idea that the “IQ test” is more of a narrative device than a genuine challenge. What complicates matters is everything happening around you—strange figures appear, threats emerge without much warning, and the space itself begins to feel unsafe. This combination introduces a layer of pressure that doesn’t come from intellectual difficulty but from the constant interruption of the test by unsettling events. It creates a rhythm where concentration is repeatedly broken, forcing players to juggle basic problem-solving with situational awareness. Mechanically, the game is simple to the point of feeling almost skeletal. Movement, interaction, and progression are easy to grasp, and there’s little in the way of mechanical depth or complexity. Instead of building layered systems, the game relies on unpredictability and sudden shifts in tone to keep players engaged. Enemies and hazards don’t always behave in consistent or logical ways, which can add to the tension but also contributes to a sense of roughness. For some players, this unpredictability is the main appeal—it keeps the experience from becoming stale. For others, it may feel unrefined, as though the game lacks the structure needed to make its ideas fully land. Visually, the presentation is clearly limited by its scope and resources. Environments are sparse, models are basic, and animations can feel stiff or awkward. Yet there’s a peculiar effectiveness to this roughness. The lack of polish gives the game an uncanny quality, where everything feels slightly “off” in a way that enhances its uneasy tone. Rather than relying on detailed graphics or cinematic presentation, the game uses its simplicity to create discomfort. Audio design works in a similar fashion, often alternating between quiet, tense moments and abrupt sounds that can feel jarring or even disorienting. It’s not a refined horror experience, but it can still produce moments of genuine unease through sheer unpredictability. One of the most distinctive aspects of the game is its inconsistent tone. It doesn’t fully commit to being a serious horror title, nor does it lean entirely into humor. Instead, it occupies an awkward middle ground where unsettling scenarios coexist with moments that feel almost absurd. This tonal imbalance can either work in the game’s favor or against it, depending on the player. Some may find the unpredictability and strangeness memorable, while others may struggle to take the experience seriously or feel immersed in what’s happening. In terms of longevity, the game is clearly designed for short bursts rather than extended play. Sessions are quick, and the inclusion of a scoring system and leaderboard offers a reason to return, but the underlying mechanics don’t evolve enough to sustain long-term engagement. It feels more like a novelty experiment than a fully fleshed-out game—something you try out of curiosity, experience once or twice, and then move on from. The free-to-play model makes this easier to accept, as there’s no significant investment required beyond time. What ultimately defines just a game to test your lQ is its willingness to embrace oddness without trying to smooth out its edges. It’s rough, inconsistent, and often unpredictable, but it also has a certain identity that sets it apart from more conventional indie releases. It doesn’t aim to be polished or deeply complex; instead, it offers a strange, fleeting experience that sticks in your memory because of how unusual it feels. For players who enjoy experimental or unconventional games, it can be an interesting diversion. For those looking for depth, refinement, or a meaningful challenge, it may come across as too shallow and unstructured. Rating: 6/10
Short unity horror game about math equations. Don't get caught by the Hat Man.
well, my IQ has dropped to 0, but my heart rate has skyrocketed to 200 after that jumpscare!
Игра 'just a game to test your IQ' — это настоящий вызов для ума, заставляющий по-новому взглянуть на привычные вещи.
