This is a really lovely game! A sweet, relaxing 2D plataformer that is challenging enough to be fun (specially if you, like me, are not really used to playing this type of game), but easy enough to make your experience something relaxing and entertaining, not stressful and tiring. I enjoy and look for relaxing, cozy, positive and cute games, and Jumpy Paws checks all the boxes I look for in a game. :) The levels are very cleverly designed to be just the right length and to hide surprises even from the start, so it's not absolutely obvious where to go or what to do, but it's logical enough for you to find the solution without having to wreck your brains out for it. I particularly love the graphic aspect, which makes the game have a happy feeling about it (helped along by the music). And our main character is a lovely little puppy, with cute interactions and reactions to the environment, which makes it very easy to connect with him, and makes me worry and care about him even if I'm spending only a short time helping him cross just one level in a small playing session. Also, the colorful scenarios, the nice little accessories that you can get as you move forward in the story, and the overall "feel" of the game are things that strongly appeal to me, and have made my time playing this game fun, relaxing and cozy, even when I'm facing certain challenging parts that don't go my way as easily as I'd like. That's one of the things I value the most in a game: how much fun I have playing it, without ending up stressed and even more neurotic than I was to begin with, and this game helps me enjoy myself, while challenging me at the same time. The fact that you can reply each level to improve your score and earn more bones and jewels than you did in your first run is something that I've particularly enjoyed since, like I mentioned, I'm not very used to playing plataformer games and I needed some time to get used to the mechanics of this type of game. But it's all well explained, with a clear tutorial at the beginning, and, since the game supports my controller, it's all the more convenient to play and to do well even if you're not an experienced player, which is encouraging and, again, reinforces the feeling of accomplishment and fun you get when playing it. Overall, I feel like this is a lovely game, with a cute little main character that you'll enjoy helping out and customizing to your taste. A game that's been done with care and that will provide you with many hours of really enjoyable fun, specially if you're looking for something relaxing and entertaining to do that won't take you all day long to finish, won't stress you out and that will, in general, give you a feeling of joy and optimism when you play it, which may be exactly what you need. I'm looking forward to continuing my journey through the world of Jumpy Paws and help him travel the world! And I definitely recommend anyone to try it and enjoy it too. The world needs more smiles, and a little curious and adventurous puppy on a mission is a little bit more of cuteness and fun in the world for us to enjoy and share. ;)
This is a 2D platformer. There's not much more to tell. It is an extremely basic game. Earn stars for collecting 3 different types of collectible in each level... sounds very familiar. A gave up after less than an hour and about 4 levels in because the gameplay really didn't change and the game is just way too basic. I gave it a thumbs up because there is nothing inherently wrong with the game. Perhaps kids will enjoy the game. After all... it has a dog.
