Janosik is a retro action-platformer metroidvania. It's fast-paced, challenging, and full of secrets to discover while exploring its big and interconnected world.

Janosik's companions were captured by the evil Count Von Zur and it’s up to you to find and rescue them from the prison. Explore hand-drawn pixel art world, find secrets, jump over deadly obstacles, roll and attack enemies, collect gold coins and find upgrades.
Janosik gives you about 2 hours of single-player retro platforming fun.
Janosik was a legendary Slovak highlander rogue. According to the legend, he robbed nobles and gave the loot to the poor, just like Robin Hood. The game is based on popular legends in which Janosik had special magical items given to him (usually) by witches. Those items gave him superhuman strength, protected him from bullets, or gave him the ability to jump over the trees. In some legends, Janosik fights with supernatural beings.
We took inspiration from the legends both for this game and the upcoming Janosik 2, and highly recommend that you read more about this hero if you enjoyed playing our retro platformer.

NOTA: 5 de 10 Aventura/acción en plataformas 2D con mapas al estilo Metroidvania, puzles predecibles y combates insulsos. Música y gráficos retropixelados de aceptable calidad. Físicas irreales, audio mediocre y animaciones robóticamente aceleradas. Historia simple con tintes absurdos y de comedia mediante cinemáticas en formato GIF. Opciones de configuración escasas. Detecta el mando de la PlayStation pero no coincide del todo la interfaz con los botones realmente asignados. Permite redefinir los botones pero solo algunos. Optimización capada a 60 FPS. Idioma de textos traducido a español latino. Dificultad capada, no hay niveles a elegir. IA rudimentaria en los enemigos, algunos se limitan a moverse de un lado a otro, infringiendo vida simplemente por tocar. Hay otros hostiles que sí atacan a distancia, pero poco más. Guardar-cargar partida solo permitido en puntos de control que pueden estar más o menos alejados. Conclusión: no se pierde nada por probar ya que es gratuito, pero hay mejores alternativas.
Ale miłe i pozytywne zaskoczenie! Bardzo przyjemna gra platformowa, w której wcielamy się w Janosika. Bijemy z szabelki, strzelamy ze skałkowca i skaczemy po różnych platformach unikając pułapek pająków i rozprawiając się z złymi ludźmi Hrabiego. I to wszystko za friko! A jak to się mówi - za darmo to dobra cena ;-)

Suprisingly good metroidvania-style platformer. Challenging at times, but never punishing. Great level design, fun boss fights, and a charming visual style and music, all wrapped in light, genuinely enjoyable gameplay.
Amazing platformer! The control are a little weird, but not hard to get used to. There is one place where it is possible to get hard locked and completely have to restart. Overall a very fun experience, especially since its a completely free game, 9/10

Taká malebne štvorčekovitá vandrovačka, že som si pri hraní skoro vykrútil palce do tvaru spišského háku. Juro tu hopká ako kamzík z Roháčov a šibrinkuje valaškou tak rýchlo, že som sa divil ako postrelený srnček. Veď Juro vedel vraziť poriadnu peťelicu do každej Habsburkáčskej lebene. Na Malej Fatre sa aj skúsený bača ľahko stratí – raz zbehne do húštiny, raz do skaliny – čiže herný planok je jedno zamotané mordovisko. A hoci je to taká krátka chujovinka, celkovo parádna zbojnícka kratochvíľa, ktorá dobrého Slováka povábi aj zabávi.
Sono un appasionato di giochi metroidvania e non mi sono lasciato scappare questo piccolo giochino gratuito. L'ho trovato molto divertente e semplice nei comandi, con la possibilità di sbloccare nuovi potenziamenti e raccogliere una serie di collezionabili. La grafica semplice anche se avrei preferito qualcosa di più elaborato, mentre il livello di difficoltà l'ho trovato forse un pò troppo basso, soprattutto contro i boss.
A short but fun platformer! Really enjoyed this one. It's especially great for a free game. I'm trying to figure out a final couple secrets before completing it so my 5 hours at time of writing is a thorough clearing for someone of mid skills. Fun and silly. Give it a go! (Oh and anyone you can talk to, talk to them multiple times. Even after they sell you something. I made this game quite a bit harder than I needed to...I did say mid skills...)
Light recommend, for a free game, not that bad. Took me about 2 hours 45. For the most part it's fair. A few times I got hit by something off screen, otherwise, solid first effort considering it costs nothing.
