Jack Is Missing

Jack is missing and now so is my time that I spent on playing this.

It legitimately takes 10 minutes to complete, and not a single thing I saw in that short time was redeeming. The visuals and controls are poor, and the game feels like it's constantly lagging. You're just thrown in when clicking play with no real idea of what to do. There are two cheap jump scares. The first is a cliché fullscreen image with a noise, and with the second one they didn't even try. If you thought that was bad, though, the voice "acting" is worse. Part of it sounds computer generated, and the rest sounds like it's just some dude whispering into an iPhone 4s mic with a fan next to him. After the three short "chapters", you're randomly put on a convener belt going towards a machine that says "destroy" on it. My point here being the entire thing was completely nonsensical. At the end of the day, this is just crappy shovelware - avoid.

I want a sequel! This game became an inside joke amongst my friends.

I pay rent by watching paint dry for a living. That's right - I check how the colour of matt and emulsion change over time, and report on durability. My wife says this is a dead-end profession, but - due to the late-stage capitalist job market - another field of employment eludes me. I earn £12.71 per hour. £0.89 of this can be conducive to many things; be it stock investment, a property ISA, or taking my family to Butlin's Bognor Regis. Every little helps. Instead, £0.89 of this cold, hard-earned money went towards the 2018 video game, Jack Is Missing, developed by Kevin Yang and published by SA Industry. This game made me - and my wife - truly appreciate the intellectual nuance of watching cobalt-blue paint dry into a gentle cerulean. It also made our sex life - after 40 years of marriage - seem considerably less insipid. In that sense, I don't know whether to say thank you or ♥♥♥♥ you. Probably the latter.
