"It Mimics" is a short indie horror game heavily inspired by the original Slender The Eight Pages game. Step into the shoes of an unknown protagonist, collect the eight pages, and survive being followed by something lurking in the woods.

I give it a solid 6/10, it's nothing ground breaking but it's not a bad horror game either. A dev lacking skills and using free assets to make a horror game that doesn't spam loud noises in your ears is a win to me. The AI could use some work, honestly if the dev made it more based off slenderman's AI from the OG 8 pages, it would be a spot on nostalgia hit for those who like slenderman. It's Its 1 USD, technically .99 cents, and I personally think it was worth. Everyone in this world starts somewhere when it comes to doing ANYTHING. To me it feels like an experienced dev really gave it his all when trying to make this game. Keep at it and I'm sure you'll be making even better games in the future
This has got to be the worst game i played in a long time, you run around in a forest like environment trying to find 8 paper clips. I mean i have seen a lot of crap games but this is up there. I would not recommend this to anyone. You can check out some gameplay here. https://youtu.be/5UpxQm2etgo

Piece of ♥♥♥♥ game. Actual utter garbage, Dev dropped off the face of the earth after releasing this slop.
This game has essentially zero game play and it very poorly made. I have no issue with a small developer trying new things and trying to get their name out there, what I have a problem with is charging money for what has basically no value as a game.

If you wish to support a budding developer, then purchase this game.
They themselves stated that this was only the work of merely a few months, and that this was merely more of something to introduce themselves into the design process of development itself. You can see that there was a decent amount of heart and love placed into it - through things such as the game modes, font style, and in-game Easter eggs, even if seemingly poorly executed or rushed. And, lastly, its only $1 - which isn't really going to break the bank if you don't like it, so it's not that bad. Some of the things I noted while playing, which I myself would like to see addressed in the future: - Surprisingly GPU-intensive (spiked my RTX 3070 to ~70c) How detailed are the things you're rendering?! (Is there some sort of code leak causing this?) - No achievements. - Can't adjust settings mid-game (Also can't see which settings you even have active in the actual settings page itself within the main menu.) - Exiting out just closes the game & doesn't revert back to menu for you to pick a different game mode. - Whatever controls there are, are not able to be altered in settings (i.e. sensitivity, inputs, etc.). (This is more of a concern for controllers, as the keyboard controls were pretty standard, but still.) I look forward to seeing what PK Games has to offer in the future, but only if they can strive to match for the success they're working towards with equal effort & care.
crock of ♥♥♥♥
6块还要啥自行车 不过确实也不太好玩
Ходил по лесу — кайф. Потом молча убила голая женщина. 4/10, теперь боюсь тишины.
