Island of Corruption

[b]Island of Corruption[/b] is a bare-bones AVN with minimal freeroam elements, offering little gameplay or story. Choices are shallow: pick "corrupt" to progress, leave the scene to stall, or select a "good" or "bad" game-over option. It feels like a kinetic novel with one linear path. Bugs plague the experience, including an [url=https://steamcommunity.com/app/3658220/discussions/0/597402042488594348/]achievement glitch[/url] and a [url=https://steamcommunity.com/app/3658220/discussions/0/597402042488595159/]broken gallery entry[/url]. The UI is messy, with oversized text, missing page numbers on load/save menus, and navigation buttons requiring precise hovering. [b]Edit:[/b]The two more serious bugs were fixed less than 48h after posting on the discussions board. This is good, and shows the developer is taking this project seriously. The replay gallery has 24 simplistic, repetitive animations of nudity or sexual acts, lacking buildup or climax. Lewd scenes are identical: short, looping animations with no depth or dialogue. The story, pitting demon Reveniel against angel Lucielle to corrupt the (renamable) MC, is one-dimensional. Choose corruption or face game over. Plot points, like corrupting a maid then accusing her to her boss, lack context, serving only to unlock the next lackluster scene. Spelling and grammatical errors further weaken the narrative. All love interests are mandatory, even if their (step) relationships feel off. At €2.99, the low price doesn’t justify the poor quality. The developers mock early access releases, yet this game needed more polish. Save your money unless you enjoy buggy ([b]Edit:[/b] a bit less so today), repetitive AVNs with the depth of a puddle.

The price is dirt cheap but as far as the choices and so on goes well um, you might get board sooner then you think. This VN is a lot of wash and repeat by that I mean it will feel like you're doing a lot of the same things when interacting with the other characters but at the same time your not. As each day goes by you're learning something new about what you want to do or don't do to the girls with the choices you make.

No glitches per se but the game is Meh. Animated scenes are a one-click job - don't skip or you will miss it. Cannot recommend it, I completed it in 26 mins, less if I used skip.

Unfortunately, I have to give this a negative review, even though the game itself isn’t exactly bad—it’s just (how to put it?) weird. The moment you pick the wrong answer, the game ends immediately, without warning. And if you haven’t saved your progress, you have to start all over from the beginning. I have to admit, though, that the game’s concept is great. BUT FOR GOD’S SAKE, THOSE SEX SCENES ARE AWFUL........ An erotic game has to show details; otherwise, no one will buy it. The game is too short and, on top of that, unfinished. I’d say it’s early access, even though that isn’t mentioned anywhere. It just ends with a message, and that’s it for now..... I guess I can’t really complain, because the price matches both the length and the quality of the game. I’d just be curious if the next installment will be free, which I’d probably rule out, since the game is really cheap. Advice for the developers: raise the price, offer early access, and make the sequel free.
