A little too boring, a little too difficult. Not what you might expect, so look into it more before you buy.
为什么我的18+补丁用不到?
Isekai Succubus ~My Genderbent Saga in Another World~, developed by Sakura Mangekyou and published by Eroge Japan, is a dungeon-crawling RPG that blends anime-style presentation, light RPG mechanics, and adult content into a single-player experience that leans heavily on its genderbending fantasy premise. This game caters to a very specific audience—one that appreciates erotic storytelling, transformation tropes, and turn-based combat wrapped in a humorous, fantasy-driven narrative. While it doesn't attempt to reinvent the wheel in terms of gameplay systems, it does manage to deliver a surprisingly cohesive blend of lighthearted storytelling, erotic elements, and a competent dungeon-exploration loop. The game begins with a male protagonist, Rinne, who is abruptly transformed into a female succubus and transported to a mysterious otherworld. This sudden shift in identity sets the tone for the rest of the game, which doesn't take itself too seriously but occasionally touches on the disorientation and awkwardness that comes with such a drastic change. Guided by two other succubi—Elena and Ange—the protagonist is thrust into a cycle of dungeon exploration, monster battles, and magical discovery. The story is delivered through a mix of dialogue sequences, cutscenes, and in-game interactions, with the gender transformation serving as both a comedic and erotic foundation for character development. Though the plot is relatively thin and often leans into fanservice over nuance, it remains entertaining enough to keep players engaged between battles and dungeon runs. Gameplay revolves around exploring 3D dungeon environments while managing turn-based encounters. Each dungeon is a series of procedurally generated rooms filled with enemies, traps, and loot. Combat is traditional in structure but layered with abilities unique to succubi characters—such as energy-draining skills, seduction effects, and magic suppression—that create some interesting strategies. You can equip four active skills at a time and unlock new ones as you progress. While the combat system is not deeply complex, it offers enough tactical variation to remain fun across the game’s runtime. Resource management also plays a role, with players needing to balance stamina, health, and item usage carefully during longer dungeon crawls. There are also branching paths and hidden areas, adding a small but appreciated exploration element to each run. Visually, the game embraces its anime roots with colorful character designs, expressive portraits, and flashy combat effects. The succubi are clearly the visual focus, and the character art during erotic scenes is of high quality, accompanied by Japanese voice acting that adds a sense of immersion. Dungeon environments, by contrast, tend to be more functional than visually distinctive. Most dungeons follow a similar layout and aesthetic, with changes in color and lighting rather than truly unique biome designs. Despite this, the visual presentation overall is polished for a game in this niche, and the erotic content is integrated with care rather than just tacked on. Fans of genderbending or transformation stories will especially appreciate the attention given to physical and psychological changes in the protagonist, even if they're treated with a light comedic tone. One of the game’s more ambitious elements is its mix of RPG and visual novel mechanics. Between dungeon dives, players experience story segments that involve relationship-building, comedic skits, and erotic encounters. Choices made during dialogue can affect outcomes and unlock different scenes, with multiple endings available depending on how the protagonist interacts with her companions. This lends the game some replay value, as players may want to explore different combinations or discover all the available CG scenes. That said, the game can become repetitive after extended play. Dungeon layouts, enemy types, and even some skill strategies begin to feel familiar, and while the erotic content is spaced out well, it alone isn’t quite enough to sustain long-term engagement for players looking for deeper gameplay systems. From a performance standpoint, Isekai Succubus runs relatively well on modest hardware and is even verified for Steam Deck, making it accessible for portable play. The menus and interface are clean, though at times cluttered with overly verbose descriptions or click-heavy navigation. Occasional bugs such as collision issues or audio sync problems have been reported, but none seem to break the game. For an adult-themed RPG from a smaller studio, it demonstrates a respectable level of technical polish and stability. Ultimately, Isekai Succubus ~My Genderbent Saga in Another World~ does a solid job of delivering on its promise. It's a fantasy adventure with gender transformation at its core, offering a blend of lighthearted storytelling, turn-based dungeon combat, and explicit adult content. It’s not the deepest RPG nor the most complex dungeon crawler, but it doesn’t need to be. It understands its audience and leans into its themes with confidence, offering a playful, occasionally cheeky journey that doesn’t overstay its welcome. For fans of genderbending narratives, succubus lore, and adult-themed anime games, this is an enjoyable, self-aware romp through another world that mixes fantasy and fanservice in equal measure. Rating: 8/10
This is one of those few titles that deserve a refund. For an H game, both the gameplay and H are just plain bad.
