The step up from early access is crazy! My pc does have a hard time to run this game time to time but everything is almost perfect!
Good with friend. Some bugs and crashes.
Into the Radius 2 is a huge step forward from the first game—so much so that it almost feels like a full reimagining rather than a sequel. The atmosphere is richer, the world feels more alive, and the gameplay loop is smoother and more rewarding. If you enjoyed the original, this one feels like the version the developers always wanted to make. The core gameplay is genuinely fun. Movement, gunplay, and exploration feel far more polished than in the first game, and the larger environments give you more room to experiment and get lost in the Zone. Even though there are only three maps, each one is surprisingly large and packed with detail, so the limited number doesn’t immediately feel restrictive. However, the game does have some notable issues—especially in co‑op. The final map, Pechorsk Outskirts, is extremely poorly optimized specifically in multiplayer. The single‑player experience on this map is actually very smooth, but co‑op is a different story. Even with strong hardware and a solid internet connection, performance tanks hard when hosting. I’ve had my FPS drop below 20 regularly, and my co‑op partner frequently disconnects or loses connection entirely, forcing them to reload back in. These problems make Pechorsk Outskirts feel more frustrating than challenging and significantly hurt the co‑op experience. Despite these issues, Into the Radius 2 still feels like a major step forward from the early access version. The foundation is strong, and the improvements over the first game are undeniable. But the developers really need to focus on future patches—especially optimization and co‑op stability—to make the experience as streamlined and polished as it deserves to be. Overall, it’s a fantastic evolution of the series with a ton of potential, but it needs more refinement to truly shine.
The game is nice, the gun building is fun but gun cleaning and ammo choice went down the drain where's my ram rod and tp? where is my sub sonic ammo? i wish they would add the mechanic for the ash balls it feels forgotten, at least make the counter on the glove go up as a place holder. it has so much opportunity and im sad to see it abandoned. I like the unintrusive jumpscares, and the creepy voice lines and sounds. but i want the angels of death back or lore explaining where they went. they need to bring back the atv boss as well i know time passed and things changed but i feel like it should still be around. There is a bit of lag in certain areas even with a pc that's close to the recommended specs, and the experimental optimization dont help to much but it is experimental. good game fun gameplay loop and sound design. overall 6.5 the game would be higher if instead of posting updates no one asked for they would work on core mechanics first then work outward
Best VR game of all time just like the first one
I bought this game when it was released as a public beta and unfortunately found that my CPU was lacking so I put it off as such and decided to wait a bit longer. Well with their official release around the corner and some newer parts, it seemed like it ran just fine....until I hit the steam button and the screen froze. Stopped the game, restarted, same thing happens. I'd love to try to play the game without getting sick. ALSO I just wanna play the game, it doesn't need this much handholding
Edit: The well thought out and kind developer reply helped me realize I went into this expecting stalker and that was a rather disappointed because of that. Gonna give it another go at some point, so take this review with a grain of salt. Some points still hold up, but most of my frustrations were shattered expectations. Still annoyed about the model clipping crap though. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is... possibly one of the worst STALKER-styled games I've ever played. The graphics, voice acting, and story are all great from what little I could tolerate playing this game... and that's as far as my pros go. The inventory system is absolutely awful. Grabbing the backpack from your back only works about a fourth of the time, and the odd choice of making you manually sort everything you have into a teeny tiny space is infuriating. You have to stack ♥♥♥♥ inside of other ♥♥♥♥ and it just becomes confusing as hell. Just give me a damn GUI like every other game. The need to not have the player model collide with structures or props is also infuriating. I have a natural urge to simply bend forward and pick something up off of a table, but instead of letting me do that they simply move me backwards so my model doesn't clip into the table. It is SO jarring and it literally makes me nauseous. They expect you to use this super unintuitive "out of reach item" grabbing where you aim at it and press trigger and THEN grip. The problem with that is you have to aim at the item before pressing trigger or it won't work, and if you move your hand between pressing trigger and grip you have to repress trigger to make it function again. Just let me grab ♥♥♥♥ from a distance without the extra step for the love of god. Stupid af. Everything about handling firearms in this is so unbelievably tedious, too. You can't unload a mag into your other hand, you have to catch it midair or pick it up from the ground. Then loading the mags is terrible because you can't load them while they're out of your hand. If I could set them all on a surface and load them from there it'd be a LOT simpler. Also picking up individual bullets if you load too many is THE WORST. Especially when they randomly fling into oblivion and are lost forever. Then the exploration comes into play... there's an anomaly every 2-20 steps, completely randomly placed with no sense of order. Every other STALKER game has randomly placed anomalies but they're few and far between and they always come in groups. This game has no open space where there isn't anomalies randomly scattered. It just feels like one giant anomaly maze rather than a world with groups of anomalies to be wary of. I could get past that if they didn't bury the damn artifacts in the dead center of anomalies. Having to take damage to get an artifact or skip getting it just feels horrible either way. I think my biggest pet peeve though is the tablet map automapping the place but for some god forsaken reason there's no marker that shows where you are on your map. Are you serious? How bloody hard would it have been to add a small marker for the player location? Playing this game just feels so bad. It doesn't matter how good the story is if you can't stand the gameplay. If I could refund it I absolutely would but unfortunately I went on vacation right after buying it so it's been more than two weeks. A shame, but oh well.
this game is a must have if you have a vr headset, the atmosfear and the gunplay is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awesome, at the begining the game was hard and scary but after tuning the diffuculty i found a style that i liked and i had alot of fun!
i have only played for an hour this ♥♥♥♥ is already PEAK
Poorly optimized. Despite being little under recommended specifications, game stutters and suffers lagspikes even on low settings. Can't recommend the game in current state.
