1st Block. 2st Block. 3st Block. There are some typos. Overall, if you liked the first game, you will like this one too. It has some major upgrades. Also has some downgrades unfortunately. The enemy and anomaly variety is lacking It's not just guns anymore, but gun parts that you can piece together. Visuals are better, both for anomalies and environments. Same frustrations you'll get on the body as you try to grab your gun but you accidentally grab the toothbrush from your dump pouch instead. Mostly fully customizable backpacks and armor/vest. Now I just hope we get some more weapons. Excited for ITR3 if it ends up getting made
I've been playing this game since it's early access first hit steam. Now that 1.0 is out, and I have played through to the endings, I feel like I can review it. Firstly the gunplay is among the best out of all of the VR shooters i've played... Not quite hotdogs, and a bit finnicky in certain areas, but you can only do so much with quest tracking. Everything is completely ambidextrious and scaled perfectly to a lefty like me, I loved every moment of it. The customization system of putting different attachments on your rig, completely customizable guns and paints are the best out there, I dont know of any other game that does it, nor does it this good. Howeveeeeer... I wish I could give it more praise in the story and other areas. I just want to say that the devs have been really good. They're talented people with a real passion, but the game was forced out the door, leaving the later half of the game half-baked. There's incomplete areas, unfinished characters and a clear indecision on story aspects and mixed feedback from to community. Such as the unreleased shooting range, hastily pieced together final map and the addition of NPC Maury and tons of voicelines, then the sudden stripping of the NPCs personality following community backlash. I hope they can be given the time by whomever acquired them to refine the game post-release, as I feel like it was that acquisition deal that forced it out the door. And while early access is the idea of community feedback, perhaps if instead, they had a team of dedicated testers, or even vetted community members who are able to give valuable feedback instead of just.... Chaos.... The game could really come to fruition. These are the opinions of a cat on the internet, thanks for reading :3
Great game, horrible performance, I have a pretty amazing computer but the optimization here is terrible, I could barely run the game well on low settings with a couple bumped up to medium and even then I had a ton of stuttering and overall problems with framerate and general performance. The Standalone Quest 3 version of this game runs significantly better than this game. Phenomenal game, great devs, terrible optimization.
Слишком геморройное управление всеми приблудами персонажа, рефанднул потому-что это перебор
Into the Radius 2 is a huge step forward from the first game—so much so that it almost feels like a full reimagining rather than a sequel. The atmosphere is richer, the world feels more alive, and the gameplay loop is smoother and more rewarding. If you enjoyed the original, this one feels like the version the developers always wanted to make. The core gameplay is genuinely fun. Movement, gunplay, and exploration feel far more polished than in the first game, and the larger environments give you more room to experiment and get lost in the Zone. Even though there are only three maps, each one is surprisingly large and packed with detail, so the limited number doesn’t immediately feel restrictive. However, the game does have some notable issues—especially in co‑op. The final map, Pechorsk Outskirts, is extremely poorly optimized specifically in multiplayer. The single‑player experience on this map is actually very smooth, but co‑op is a different story. Even with strong hardware and a solid internet connection, performance tanks hard when hosting. I’ve had my FPS drop below 20 regularly, and my co‑op partner frequently disconnects or loses connection entirely, forcing them to reload back in. These problems make Pechorsk Outskirts feel more frustrating than challenging and significantly hurt the co‑op experience. Despite these issues, Into the Radius 2 still feels like a major step forward from the early access version. The foundation is strong, and the improvements over the first game are undeniable. But the developers really need to focus on future patches—especially optimization and co‑op stability—to make the experience as streamlined and polished as it deserves to be. Overall, it’s a fantastic evolution of the series with a ton of potential, but it needs more refinement to truly shine.
I bought this game when it was released as a public beta and unfortunately found that my CPU was lacking so I put it off as such and decided to wait a bit longer. Well with their official release around the corner and some newer parts, it seemed like it ran just fine....until I hit the steam button and the screen froze. Stopped the game, restarted, same thing happens. I'd love to try to play the game without getting sick. ALSO I just wanna play the game, it doesn't need this much handholding
I enjoyed this game a lot in previous updates. Came back after the shooting range update only to find it was an overhaul update. All the dialogue and interaction is really not good, the game feels so vastly different for it and I could not care less about the characters. What once felt so eerie and offputting to be in such a clean base with no one around is now a weird annoying corporate web-page feeling experience. I enjoyed the look and feel of the mission UI before, felt very abandon-ware which suited the empty feeling of the base and world, like you could be the only one left. Now it just feels like some half-assed webdev project with how we get a Microsoft Teams looking voice call all the time. The in-between of travelling really is so awkward, feels like such a weird space that baits me into looking at a bunch of non-valued items while and deal with the most awkward "friend" npc that has to spoon-feed me how I should feel about the story elements. The artifacts that were really charming and unique became retextured random models which really just makes me have to pick up every single interactable in order to tell what I can and cannot sell for value. The tutorial was gutted and lost several things that really need to be explained. For some reason the PDA slot was switched sides and wasnt given an option to be modified separately? And wow, using the PM again starting a new save, it took forever to put the magazine in. The motion required to do so is fully sliding it in, which is extremely awkward as my controllers seem to be too big for that to work without flipping them around or smacking them together. Glad to see that steadying your aim was added, which was sorely needed, and the shooting range is neat. Also very glad that you can put ammo directly into ammo boxes within your backpack. Anomalies were already obnoxious and super finicky, and now they are worse and harder to see. The performance is no better, I'd say it is worse but its really hard to tell. Stashes are rather lackluster, and it feels far more worthwhile to just focus on money and buy things. Enemies werent improved either, and while I love shootouts with mimics, all the non mimic enemies are so tedious to fight and just infuriating and continue to be the worst part of the combat.
The step up from early access is crazy! My pc does have a hard time to run this game time to time but everything is almost perfect!
разнообразие кастома по сравнению с первым радиусом но атмосферу потеряли, все стало красочным не похоже на припять или чтото подобное. в этом плане первый радиус больше подходил по цветам
Edit: The well thought out and kind developer reply helped me realize I went into this expecting stalker and that was a rather disappointed because of that. Gonna give it another go at some point, so take this review with a grain of salt. Some points still hold up, but most of my frustrations were shattered expectations. Still annoyed about the model clipping crap though. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is... possibly one of the worst STALKER-styled games I've ever played. The graphics, voice acting, and story are all great from what little I could tolerate playing this game... and that's as far as my pros go. The inventory system is absolutely awful. Grabbing the backpack from your back only works about a fourth of the time, and the odd choice of making you manually sort everything you have into a teeny tiny space is infuriating. You have to stack ♥♥♥♥ inside of other ♥♥♥♥ and it just becomes confusing as hell. Just give me a damn GUI like every other game. The need to not have the player model collide with structures or props is also infuriating. I have a natural urge to simply bend forward and pick something up off of a table, but instead of letting me do that they simply move me backwards so my model doesn't clip into the table. It is SO jarring and it literally makes me nauseous. They expect you to use this super unintuitive "out of reach item" grabbing where you aim at it and press trigger and THEN grip. The problem with that is you have to aim at the item before pressing trigger or it won't work, and if you move your hand between pressing trigger and grip you have to repress trigger to make it function again. Just let me grab ♥♥♥♥ from a distance without the extra step for the love of god. Stupid af. Everything about handling firearms in this is so unbelievably tedious, too. You can't unload a mag into your other hand, you have to catch it midair or pick it up from the ground. Then loading the mags is terrible because you can't load them while they're out of your hand. If I could set them all on a surface and load them from there it'd be a LOT simpler. Also picking up individual bullets if you load too many is THE WORST. Especially when they randomly fling into oblivion and are lost forever. Then the exploration comes into play... there's an anomaly every 2-20 steps, completely randomly placed with no sense of order. Every other STALKER game has randomly placed anomalies but they're few and far between and they always come in groups. This game has no open space where there isn't anomalies randomly scattered. It just feels like one giant anomaly maze rather than a world with groups of anomalies to be wary of. I could get past that if they didn't bury the damn artifacts in the dead center of anomalies. Having to take damage to get an artifact or skip getting it just feels horrible either way. I think my biggest pet peeve though is the tablet map automapping the place but for some god forsaken reason there's no marker that shows where you are on your map. Are you serious? How bloody hard would it have been to add a small marker for the player location? Playing this game just feels so bad. It doesn't matter how good the story is if you can't stand the gameplay. If I could refund it I absolutely would but unfortunately I went on vacation right after buying it so it's been more than two weeks. A shame, but oh well.
