Insurgency: Sandstorm

While it is a game I can only recommend, especially for it's endlessly replayable PVE, I want this review to serve as a warning of sorts, that Insurgency Sandstorm is still disappointingly sprinkled with bugs, mostly visual, and generally not at all game-breaking, but still to an extent that should not exist in a nearly decade-old game by now. Not to mention how it's dwindling playercount has failed to encourage the release of new content, besides the occasional minor fix. Otherwise, I can seriously only recommend it, as it proves to be an excellent, almost battlefield like shooter that somehow manages to be just as, if not even more immersive on a smaller scale and with an arguibly better supporting cast of models, environments, mechanics, and so on. For 29.99 I would not advise you to go for it, but I would totally place it on my wishlist and wait for the nearest sale.

Great shooter game with its fair share of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. It might not be the best experience every time with its fair share of special people team killing you, but its a fun game non then less. You can meet all kinds of people here. The chinese who stand in front of you while you are shooting. The special eds who team kill you for no reason. The soundboard users. Funny people and the list goes on and on. Worse part of this game is definetly the versus game mode and the amount of special crayon eaters you can meet along the way. Game is more fun with friends ( trust me bro )

I never review games as I don't really feel any impact from any games, but this game, sadly made me cringe. You will soon realize as you turn on the game, there are micro transaction on cosmetics, and this is a "mil-sim" game. Who cares, every game has become a gremlin who tries to squeeze money from you, alright I can live with that, it is just cosmetics, who cares. Additional critic: They did not even have enough customizable features on the insurgent side, so that already should tell you how they have envisioned their game. I am not going to write a long annoying review, and this review is for those who actually enjoy mil sim games. This is not it. This is call of duty with just "mil-sim" label. You will regret playing this. There is no "communication" as you expect in a military game, this is just pure run and gun, with some typical mil sim mechanics. Do not get this game, and if you want to get this game for the sake of having a "party" game with your friends, get the first game, at least there, you can actually download proper mods, which actually is less censored. side note: I played this game on my alt account, and steam did not allow me to post review on that one, so I had to access my old account which I never use just to post my review/warning. I accessed this account just to deliver my final message to the world and save them from this disgraceful game. My dedication is a message, heed my warnings.

Great game, it definitely has a clunky UI especially seeing how different modes require you to completely to remake your classes. Get it on sale and you have a heck of a deal

I'm not a big fan of the menus, I get that they were made taking into consideration the console versions, however on keyboard is a huge step backwards compared to the 2014 insurgency, I still haven't gotten used to it... Overall is a fun game, been enjoying it despite my nitpicks in some of the changes in direction compared to their standalone debut. Runs fine on my low end gaming laptop albeit having to use the minimal graphics settings due to the 4gb of vram my dedicated gpu has, otherwise I could probably crank it further.

good game good mod support for an old game. highly recommend, one of the few games that has large player coop support on game modes you actually want to play... 4 player modes on these recent AAA AA or B games are just garbage. i got a lot of family and friends.
