Inscryption is an inky black card-based odyssey that blends the deckbuilding roguelike, escape-room style puzzles, and psychological horror into a blood-laced smoothie. Darker still are the secrets inscrybed upon the cards...

Masterpiece. Buy now, don't look anything up.

我最爱的游戏!!!就这个战斗爽!!!就这个组牌组爽!!!就这个造神卡爽!!!
As someone who has not played many Rogue-likes, I can say this one is simple enough to learn easily yet not so simple it gets boring. The Atmosphere of the game does a great job of being unsettling, while providing some comic relief throughout the playthrough. Speaking of which, I found the writing to be enjoyable in the way that things build and progress. At no point was I wanting the game to end already as it stayed fresh due to having 3 distinct acts all have different mechanics and Ill touch on that. Act One is a card game that uses sacrificing as a way to deploy more powerful cards as you travers a map with several routes to choose from. There are 3 bosses with each one having a unique ability which forces you to play in different ways that you are used to. Act Two switches to a more pixilated art-style with you being able to choose from 4 different starter decks that you slowly build as you win fights and explore the map in a top-down view. You freely traverse from room to room as you search for the bosses to defeat and power-ups to collect along with more cards to increase your decks strength. Act Three is a click and point movement based adventure as you deal with an energy-based currency system that adds a unique twist as the battles play out more like puzzles you have to solve with the limited amount of cards and moves you have, which really adds a welcome challenge. After you've beaten the game (or if you want to skip to this you can unlock it with a hotkey) you unlock what is called Kacyees Mod which is like an endless rogue-like game mode that plays in the style of Act One that you play over and over while having modifiers to allow for different and more challenging gameplay. Overall Id highly recommend this game if you like card-based rogue-like games with an element of horror to it,
