Whether it be Stanley's parable, or Undertale, games that revolve around meta-story tend to fall off a bit concerning pure gameplay. However, Inscryption goes above and beyond what most "Breaking the Fourth Wall" games do. The tremendous amount of variations, building off on what you know and accustomed to, it seems like a masterpiece of game design. Jumping between 2D and 3D has never been so natural, the developers are a genius for interpreting the concept of a card game by multiple genres. The most engaging game I have played in a while. I wish the games was longer so that I could play with the scrybes a bit more. If you want something new, definitely try it. the game is packed with a bunch of new ideas with a staggeringly beautiful polish.
