Reviews
The game itself is a 10/10, so I'll tell the downsides: 1. Worst dev team ever seen in the game industry 2. Constant Updates nobody asked for 3. If you like something in the game, there will be an update tomorrow that'll remove that feature -- it's just a matter of time 4. The game isn't 60gb anymore, it's up to 115 gb due to the 2nd point They had an easy job to do: nothing. From version 1.5 onward it was all downhill.
this game is super fun but prepare to grind and also when there's limiteds you beter save up

This is supposed to be a mobile game it is unplayable on my 2 thousand dollar PC, uh hello Infold???? The details in this game are incredible and I really love taking pics, but it gets more broken update after update and negatives outweigh the positive. I stopped caring about any substance to the story, because its like hearing someone talk who's huffed too much glue. I put nearly a thousand hours into this game and I would continue to if the game could function without constant lag.
It's great! STOP BOYCOTTING IT YOU B*CHES
I love RPGs and have spent over 2,000 hours on Skyrim, The Witcher 3, Dragon Age 2, Dragon Age: Inquisition, Mass Effect 1-3 and others. I've played MMOs like Star Wars: The Old Republic, World of Warcraft, Rift, Perfect World, Aion, Elder Scrolls Online, and a lot more. I'm a modder for Skyrim, Minecraft, DAI, TW3 and more... I downloaded Infinity Nikki for my 6 year old daughter originally. Then we spawned in and I was like "whoa, ok.... I'll get you started". I fell in love, and she never got much of a chance to play - lol. The combat mechanics are seriously impressive and as weird as this sounds, it reminds me a LOT of The Witcher franchise. The music, the dark stories, the feeeeeeels! It's less tragic than Geralt's story, and you're a girl who wears pretty clothes (vs a rugged, battle hardened old man)... but this is far from a "girly" game. While I AM female, I have met men who love and play Infinity Nikki (and who are not ashamed to admit it). There are a ton of puzzles and many parts of the game require a lot of brain power, which I love! Not to mention it encourages kindness and I love the lack of politics. There are a lot of really difficult choices in the story which I'd consider "mature content", so be prepared. The main story is extremely dark/twisted... especially the pieceys (sp?) storyline and also the shroomseras - which were added in the latest patches. Yes, this is a "gacha" game... however, the developers work very hard every update to give players free items and gems to pull for limited outfits. I'm one of those "I'll never spend a penny on any game"... yet I have spent a bit of money on THIS game and I don't regret it. There's just far too much to resist! The outfits are not just pretty clothes, either. They have abilities. Super OP and satisfying abilities that make the gameplay even more robust! Like the "dragon" archery ability (I can't imagine playing without it now). You can also get "pets" this way (like the newest update's lion, or a previous update's behemoth - both of which I worked hard to get). You also get your own island with a beautiful house! There, you can build your own house from scratch, or just decorate the one which comes on the island. You can unlock more parts of the island to build an entire town if you want! This island is where you can house small critters (found all over miraland), nurture your own garden, keep fish, and more - for easier access to materials. This is also a place where you can invite friends. I do wish they'd add more basic building materials - since right now, there's only one type of exterior texture with 3 color variations... but I have high hopes that they'll be adding much more soon! This is also not an "MMORPG", which I originally thought. There are social aspects of the game, but you are mostly meant to play it solo. I do wish they'd add more social mechanics - like an [optional] ability to see your friends running around while at the same location. I would also [more than anything else] love genders... please ("Nikolas" and "Nikki"). I think adding a special token to change Nikki's gender would get a lot more people to play. Personally, I feel weird playing some games where I'm forced to play as a man. The Witcher is the only game I finally gave in for, but... I would've spent even more time on it if I'd been able to play as Ciri more often. Also... a bit more freedom with appearance/face & body shape (beyond eye color & skin tone - which is achieved through makeup). Not everyone wants to be a skinny little girl. At least a way to alter face shape! I'd love for my "Nikki" to have a more "mature" face, and my daughter wants a more "cute" face! This is an incredible story-driven experience with rich combat mechanics and a ton of areas, puzzles, dungeons, and more to explore. I think everyone can find something to love about Infinity Nikki and I look forward to where the story will take us next! (I'm reviewing this on Steam but mostly play mobile/ios since my PC died)
boring tbh too much pay to win stuff
I want to make it clear that while steam says I've only played Infinity Nikki for 6 hours, I've been playing this game since 1.0 through Infold's own launcher until it stopped doing its job and launching the game. There is a lot I love about this game which is why it pains me that I can't recommend it. I love all of the dress-up mechanics of the game, I think a lot of the outfits are gorgeous and, even though this is a gacha game, a lot of wonderful clothing pieces are accessible to free-to-play players. I like *some" of the story quests and characters, it is not the deepest storytelling ever but it is still engaging and exciting (to me at least). And I like the platforming aspect of the game! I think it's really fun! My first issue with the game is probably the main reason I can't recommend it and it is not related to any of the in-game aspects of it. It is just way too big. I had to get an external drive just to be able to update the game to its newest version. For a game that is advertised as rather friendly to casual gamers, it really seems like the player needs to invest into a computer with the disk space of a small data center (which imo is the opposite of what a casual player would want to do). I really wish the game was optimized better, seeing a new update is becoming less exciting and more disheartening because It feels like countdown until I will no longer be able to play the game. My other issue is that so many areas become irrelevant after their update season. The game rarely gives reasons for players to return to specialty areas from themed seasons like the firework isles or the danqing realm. They essentially become photoshoot spots and while that's part of the game I find it disappointing. Especially knowing that they take up precious precious space on my pc. I dunno, I don't really see the point in recommending a game of such size when the majority of the memorable quests and storylines that made me love this game are just an accessory to advertise a picture background.
