Infantry Attack

A very enjoyable rail shooter set to a military motif. Now, I purchased all three DLCs with the game itself, so this review will encompass this. You get to chose what weapon you wish to use, and you earn upgrades as you progress down the path. There are many weapons to choose from, and all can be fun to use, but it is better to specialize in one or two weapons, as opposed to using a number of them, so you can upgrade your weapon more quickly. It is a never ending progression path, broken down into 10 missions each. After completing a path, the player gets to choose what path to follow next. Paths include airport, jungles, mountains, and seashore. Opponents pretty much remain the same, however. They include basic infantry, suicide bombers, shield carrying infantry, sledge hammer armor carrying attackers, drones, helicopters, paratroopers, rocket carrying infantry, ambush units and tanks. Your position is fixed, and the enemy is trying to destroy you. You can also add a rifleman, grenadier, or explosive expert to help you defend, and you earn ammo for your ally via kills. Battles are not much more than 3-5 minutes, with a mission path lasting about 30 minutes. There are some minor glitches, such as when your are advancing to a new forward position. But the easy way out of this is to hit your fire button, and the game continues. The game has a headkill, and a hardcore path you can play. The headkill path runs concurrent with your mission path while the hardcore path is independent of it. It took me just under 14 hours to complete all paths and earn all Steam achievements. I would recommend the game with a solid 9 out of 10. If you enjoy rail shooters, you should enjoy this.

Fun, simple "on the rails" style shooter. It's got a decent variety of maps and weapon types. The survival "Hardcore Event" is a little buggy. You will get stuck in spots where you can't move your mouse reticle far enough to the left or right to hit the rooftop enemies; I found a work-around by plugging in a controller and using the left thumbstick to move past the mouse "limit" and hit the rooftop enemies.

Infantry Attack ist ein Third Person Shooter. In Infantry Attack spielen wir einen Soldaten, welcher an Geschütztürmen oder in Helikoptern auf gegnerische Soldaten oder auf Terroristen schießt. Zur Grafik: Die Grafik finde ich persönlich nicht schön. Sie ist relativ Low Poly,, also ungefähr PS2 Niveau. Die Assets wirken wie straight aus einem Asset Store übernommen. Allerdings ist die Grafik an manchen Stellen überraschend detailreich, was ich persönlich sehr gut finde. Zum Gameolay: Das Gameplay ist simple, macht aber Spaß. Wir stehen an einem Geschützturm und ballern alles Leben weg, was uns in die Kugel läuft. Dies tun wir ab und zu auch in einem Helikopter. Nebenbei upgraden wir unsere Waffen und unsere Basis. Fazit: Infantry Attack ist unterhaltsamer Third Person Shooter zu einem fairen Preis. Für zwischendurch ist das Game gut geeignet.
