Please follow United Critics for quality reviews
Good things:
This game has a very basic controls and a simple idea but it is hard to master. You only use two buttons one to move and one to jump but there are special places that change the direction in which you are moving, buttons that can turn these places on and off, teleports that teleport you to a different places depending on from which side you enter into them and lasers and other traps that will kill you as that is what traps do.
Bad things:
The whole level should be shown at start so the player would know where is the exit. The game should have a list of levels so you don’t have to complete each level after another and that you could see how many levels in total are there and they should change colors to indicate which ones are completed. The sound that lasers make should be turned off as it is constant and annoying. There are only 16 levels while there should be 100 to make this game last longer and be more interesting to play.
Conclusion
This is a simple and short but good game where you have to think in order to finish each level. Overall score 5.5/10

Indirection has a thin foundation of logical-puzzley elements, buried under (a) dexterity-based arcade gameplay, and (b) "gotcha, stupid human!" mechanics that essentially punish you for relying on the visuo-motor habits that are the basis of every other platformer. I cannot recommend it to the Puzzle Lovers audience in general, and indeed the puzzley aspects are so far in the background that the core audience is really fans of twitchy, arcadey platformers. Using any arrow key to try to move will only ever move you in a single direction, and the direction you move is determined by switches you run into in the game. So, e.g., you hold down the left arrow but you're only allowed to be running right, so you run right until you run into a switch, and you're still holding down the left arrow but it now actually is making you run left, until you hit another switch. Make it to the exit to beat a level. Throw in some unlabeled teleporters, some pits to die in if you don't time your jumps, and some additional "you just teleported here for the first time and didn't know there would be a pit but ♥♥♥♥ you -- now go play the level again to get back here" stuff to try your patience, and that's the game. You can absolutely find yourself in a position where you have solved the thin puzzle and know with certainty how the level works and what you need to do to get to the exit, and it won't matter if you can't get your jumps just right. Extremely minimal settings unless you see any updates here or here after the review goes up. The number of levels is displayed nowhere in game but this review says there are 16 -- including some of the very minimal tutorial levels, I guess? You can make your own levels in the workshop, if you're into that.

This game is pretty sick! Love the style and cleverness of the puzzles! It's like portal all over again!
(PS I played more than it says I did because I had been playing in offline mode)
Indirection is a great breath of fresh air for the platformer genre
The gimmick being you can only move in one direction forces the player to really think about their actions and plan accordingly, if you don't you will suffer the consequences and have to retrace your steps to get back to where you previously were. The puzzles get difficult and creative, I currently have not finished but I passed the first few with ease and then it started to get hard. I am really enjoying my time with this game and for the low price of $1.99 you will too!
A solid puzzle platformer without twitch reflexes necessary to finish. Dev has be receptive to ironing out some of the kinks, such as removing the very loud ambient wind sounds.
Neat little puzzle game with a strong premise. Also dirt cheap. Be aware that working through some technical issues could be necessary when you first start it. If that is a deal-breaker for you.
I don't normally play puzzle games, but when I do I disappoint myself: 1. I tend to repeat the same strategy over and over again expecting a different result. 2. I forget how movement works. 3. I think about how this applies to my life... do I always go left till someone tells me to go right? Then someone else tells me to go left... Is my life all about going the direction others want me to go? 4. Remembering I can jump. 5. Forgetting how to jump. 5. Wondering about custom workshop stuff. 7. I skipped six. 8. I solve one problem in life, go through an exit door, enter a new problem where I fail 1000s of times before exiting to a new problem. 9. My reflex's are terrible. 10. There's 16 levels and I'm on 3 or 4... I disappoint myself. 7/10 will keep playing Indirection.
Very well done, a wonderfully made game. Looks great and very interesting. Fastest run time of 48 secs. However someone new to the game might take them like 30 mins to 1 hour to beat as of now with 16 levels. Can't wait to see what the future holds for the game.
A pretty fun cheap platformer, With some better visuals and a bit more variety it could be pretty great
Some jumping may feel a bit janky, and some floors look like they're there, but they're not, but for 1:60 I'm happy
