Indiana Jones and the Great Circle

I only watched the first movie in preparation for this game and found it helpful but not necessary to be familiar. The performances in this game are incredible, Troy does a great job as Indy and really nails a lot of the more subtle things that you think he might miss. We have a worthy foil to Indy in this game as well with Emmerich Voss played by Marios Gavrilis who will entrance you with every scene he's in. As expected from their wolfenstein games, machine games really knows how to make good cutscenes especially when so many AAA games are obsessed with aping cinema it is refreshing to see a studio to actually try and apply it to their cinematography as well instead of just stopping at "realism." But make no mistake, this isnt a movie game, this is actually surprisingly closer to a dishonored than uncharted. Levels are dense and there are usually multiple routes to get to where you wanna go and stealthing around is fun. The melee combat never gets old, its always fun to bash in a Nazi's head with a guitar. This game also performs really well thanks to the dark magic that powers id Tech

Loved this game, and it ran quite well on my Steam Deck!

Achievement hunting is tedious, don't buy.

На RTX 4080 игра идёт в 30 FPS с полным рейтрейсингом без генерации кадров. Сначала я подумал, что передо мной очередное преступление на Unreal Engine 5. Оказалось, MachineGames изнасиловали id Tech 7 так, что движок от Doom Eternal теперь требует видеокарту из будущего, чтобы показывать мужика в шляпе. При этом сама игра — полный paзъё6. Первое лицо работает идеально: ты рассматриваешь древние механизмы, крутишь артефакты, ищешь тайные проходы, лезешь по развалинам и бьёшь фашистов всем, что плохо прикручено к полу. Инди врёт, переодевается, получает по e6aлу и выпутывается из ситуации, которую сам же и устроил. Именно таким он и должен быть. Режиссура, диалоги, лицевая анимация и внимание к деталям находятся на каком-то неприличном уровне. Это лучшая игра Sony, которую сделала не Sony: дорогая, кинематографичная, с живыми персонажами и ощущением настоящего приключения. Только вместо очередной грустной женщины с луком здесь Индиана Джонс бьёт нациста скрипкой. Пока выглядит как одна из лучших игр по лицензии вообще. Осталось выяснить, не решат ли MachineGames растянуть идеальное приключение на сорок часов записок, тайников и прочей обязательной xyйни.

[h1] A Masterclass in adventure games [/h1] This game is perfect in every sense. The story, gameplay, graphics, simply fun to play from the beginning 'til the end The game also has a lot of content for it's price and genre. One of a few where doing a 100% run is accessible and rewarding (for the most part). Exploring levels is fun, puzzles are not trivial and sometimes can make you sit on them for a solid 20 minutes or so. That's not to say the game is absolutely perfect, you will surely run into immersion-breaking bugs or have a problem finding that one note or ancient relic, but in general the game is phenomenal, definitely give it a try!
