inbento is a puzzle game where you make an arrangement using all the pieces and moves available to you. Part of the trick to it is that you MUST use every single move you have when you get the arrangement, or it doesn't count. And each time you complete a set of nine levels, you're treated to pictures of the life of a mother cat and her kitten, from the day she starts him on solid foods, to the day he comes back as a dad with a kitten of his own. There are moves that switch pieces with other pieces, moves that copy pieces onto other pieces, and moves that make some of your pieces jump onto other pieces and leave a blank space behind, in all sorts of configurations, with move acting on pieces next to each other, across the board, or diagonally in whatever direction. There's also a special move type that works as a fill command, turning all adjacent pieces of the same type into whatever you have under the filling piece. It doesn't really get consistently challenging until the ninth or tenth set, so it starts a bit slow. If you only took the best puzzles, or the puzzles that introduce a concept? The first three or four worlds could've been combined into one world, and the next five or six worlds could've been just two more worlds, leaving us with a game that's something like nine or ten sets for 90 levels, tops. But it catches up eventually! By the end, inbento got tricky enough that I was getting stuck here and there. There's definitely an entertaining game here if you don't mind what amounts to a long tutorial section before the good stuff.
