Fist off, this game can hold its own without any improvements. As a free indie I have absolutely no complaints. However, I would love to see a re-release because with a few minor improvements, I could see this becoming a massive hit. This game is basically a 3d-parkour "Getting Over It". It's rage inducing and very difficult with a unvoiced monologue. It's dark, and a bit depressing at times, but the message is deep and I believe a lot of people can relate. Music is top notch and fits the aesthetic quite well. Controls are easy enough to learn and everything feels smooth and well polished. If this were re-released, I would be the first to purchase it with these improvements. 1. Take away the flight mechanic. Or at least give it a heavy cooldown. Having basically a god mode so easy to access is too tempting for all of us rage monsters. Trust me, if we rage quit, we'll eventually start it back up because we simply can not take no for an answer. 2. Hire a voice actor. Having someone tell you a story without having to read the freaking subtitles adds so much class and polish to the game. "Getting Over It" without the voiceover would not be the hit it is today. Just make sure you hire the right one. Bad voice acting can also ruin a game. 3. Add more content. Although this game is actually pretty long, new content in a re-lease is expected. Perhaps a new world/story with new scenery? 4. Be less forgiving. The most loyal fans of this game are the ones who don't expect to be teleported to the rock you were just standing on when you fall off. Bring us back a few spots or if you make a major mistake, take us all the way back. Just my thoughts what I would love to see on a paid version. Probably not everybody's taste but like I said before, this game is incredible how it is as a free title. Well done. 8.8/10
Before I played In Passing, I had a small pp, no friends, no gf, depression, and no life. These things havent changed, but the game is pretty good
I admit it... I cried. I played and at the end, I cried. The game is nice, the platforming can be difficult (yea, I also admit it, i cheated with the wings) and at times I also got lost a bit in where I was supposed to go next. I can agree with the thought that it's very common self hate concepts but at the same time the true point isn't lost. Yes, there's this darkness in you, yes there's an emptiness. But it can be filled with love. Someone once told me that as long as you're moving forward you'll get better... Forward is the direction you're facing. Even in darkness it will still be the direction you need to take. The game was beautiful, painful and enjoyable (Despite the difficulty and slight irritation)
Very janky, frustrating and bland. I know it's free but that doesn't mean it's worth your time.
