«In memory of TITAN»
Co-op / PvP. This game certainly can become something great, as it it stands it's terrible. I will keep the game and watch it to see if it improves and perhaps change my review to reflect those changes, but yeah it's not much fun. I saw the bad reviews, but have been looking for a turn based space fleet game for a while now so I thought I'd give this a try. UI is really bad. It's hard to know what it is you can do. There's small icons in the top right that indicate your weapons, but you barely notice them and they don't tell you how much ammunition said weapons have. Destroying the asteroid on the second mission is just so painful I couldn't even complete it, just had to quit. The zoom in cinematics for every time you fire or your enemy fires gets so old so fast, that should be an option to turn off, which I would do so if I could. The graphics feel clunky and slow, yes my computer is a bit clunky and slow, but not that clunky and slow. Upgrading your fleet is also a painful UI and dear god don't right click or it goes back to the solar system that seems to have trouble staying in one place on screen. Also mighty painful. There's also some kind of weird close combat thing going one, and you can see the ships shooting each other but it's not clear how much damage is being done per turn. You just see the ship health of both ships slowly diminishing and this happpens automatically as you move your ships to a closer range with the enemy ships. If the developer can clean up the UI a bit and make the graphics less clunky and make the transitions between ships smoother and less jumpy around the screen, then this game would be a lot better. Then getting into the tactics side of the game, so far it's all "I shoot you, you shoot me", which is boring. Throw in some carriers that can deploy fighter squads and some ship boarding and then you got yourself some cooler tactics. Officers or crew might then lend special abilities playing in the RPG theme better. Perhaps the ability to target specific parts of a ship so that you can cripple it instead of simply blowing it into tiny pieces. These crippling attacks might then serve tactics to board enemy ships and take them either to add to your fleet or to sell for scrap. The missions followed a linear path, but I could see how the different planets in the sector would open up the opportunity for an open world rogue style game then a simple linear one. Also the ability to control a fleet is nice, though 11 is a strange arbitrary number. If you're a masochist like me and are willing to invest into the future of this game, then go ahead and get it, but you do so at your own peril/annoyance.
Abandonware, do not buy.
This is probably one of the worst designed games i have ever played. Visually full of unnessesary clutter and horid colours and overall design choices; no one needs the text to be revealed slowly, no one needs the black backgrounds with those grey wabe struckures in it. Navigation in the overview and in combat is just bad. I managed to navigate my ship in the direction where i thought the other ship to be (because overview is basically nonexistent) After my ship was placed next to the other Ship out of nowhere shooting began but nothing told me that actually sth happened then i was totaly clueless as to what to do now and no clicking did anything and no interface was in sight to operate anything. After that i quit, i didnt want to bother. Dont buy it, please do yourself a favor and save that 20$
ABANDONED Game has crashed on the first mission in three attempts. The last update from the developer was 5 months ago.
I understand the game is in it's very early stages, but it's unacceptable that within 3 clicks into the first mission my game and computer completely locked up which never happened. I'll give it another go in a few months.
Is this a joke? Because it seems like a joke game. Every time I think I have played the worst early access game on steam a game like this appears.
abandoned, crashes, autosave doesn't reliably work, waste of time.
Loved the music, is very immersive, would like if the music changed according to the accion, like if you are surrounded it would be nice to have an action theme. Gameplay wise it was very satisfying and easy to play through. At start its a little complex there is a lot of information all at once but once you get to know the mechanics it becomes very fluid. Some bugs here and there but for an early early early access title is very complete. Would like more combat options, ship skins, and a more updated UI. Can't wait for multiplayer!
Would not recommend atm while in early access or until the dev makes this a playable game. something is horribly off optimisation wise freezes and crashes fps drops all over the place and that's with EVERYTHING set to low res and low graphic settings(i may not have high end pc but its not terrible and still a gaming pc). the new game button doesn't have a warning that it will wipe your progress so I've had to restart a few times after clicking on new game without thinking after a crash since its the top option. sound bugs out sometimes on special effect noises for objectives to elaborate even with sound turned off it still ear-rapes your canals. and i haven't really got to play much of the story because of the bugs crashes will try to make more progress when I'm not so triggered at that. but from what I've seen its a little lack-luster and the overall game play is slow and clunky. why cant i move around the map and check out the map to see where i might have to go? why does the game still register dead enemies for one more turn when they are DEAD. (thus slowing down the game play) why cant i skip the fight scenes when i select a weapon to fire?and why cant i turn off the projectiles or particle effects that happen when a ship is engaged in a fight? (might improve performance for some people or at least provide a fix to the fps drops in big battles) either way a lot of issues that shouldn't be there for an early access game that's been out for a year!
